Manuel is a mid round QB who should be a solid number 2 in the league but much like Jason Campbell he will inexplicably be given more than a fair shot at proving he is more than mediocre and ultimately disappoint.

E J finished his college career with the same completion % as Andrew Luck. Playing with less talent around him. He is bigger than Luck, faster than Luck, and has a better arm. Some team will roll the dice early in the draft.

FSU has more talent than Stanford on offense.

What you can say is Manuel never had a consistent o-line while playing which would be correct.

Stanford has had more high draft picks from their offense over the past five years than FSU. That indicates more talent to me.

Manuel's release reminds me of Andre Woodson coming out. Throws a pretty ball when everything is going well, but too robotic to make adjustments which will lead to consistent accuracy issues in the pros.

Manuel won four bowl games with FSU, I think he was one of only a couple quarterbacks to achieve that. Was MVP of a couple of them. His passing stats and won/loss record were better than Ponder's while he was there. Chris went 12th overall in a draft with more high end quarterback strength.

Where were all these naysayers when Christian Ponder went in the high first round?

Wow. So the future is that clear to you? What team do you manage may I ask? Tell me, what was your prediction for Jake Locker. Honesty is the key.

There are kids on the team that he has been playing with that no one talks about because they are young.

At RB - Chris Thompson, James Wilder, Devota Freeman, Lonnie Pryor(FB)

At WR - Rashad Greene, Kenny Shaw, Greg Dent, Kelvin Benjamin, Christian Green

At Te - Nick O'Leary.

You will see in the upcoming drafts the amount of offensive talent Manuel had with him.

It's FSU and it's probably not even close.

Stanford always has a top-notch line, so only that could be argued, but as far as skill-positions and defensive talent, FSU has rivaled anybody in recent years. They have done an incredible job at recruiting, now coaching all that talent up is a different story. E.J. SHOULD be a top 15 player, but I think he had some bad coaching in college that limited his abilities to a more conservative offense. The talent is undeniable though.

Is that a fact? Your argument is based on undeveloped talent that has to prove themselves??? How on earth can you compare that to the talent that Luck played with?? Go head and list them if you will.

Each of these players are, at worst, early third day talents. Wilder, Greene and Benjamin are probably 1st or 2nd round picks for 2014.

It's not unproven talent if you've watched any FSU games this year. Most of these guys have been very productive for the Noles to this point. Most are just too young to declare for the draft yet, so the projections aren't there for you to see based on their production and talent level.

Go ahead and list your PROVEN Stanford talent.

I'm gonna say the list goes something like this...

Andrew Luck....

and the boys.

It's Stanford and you should be embarrassed to take such a ridiculous stance. Undeveloped talent is useless on the field. Not only did Stanford have better offensive talent overall, the talent was far more developed than the talent at FSU. Stanford had the first TE taken in the draft last year along with likely the first TE taken this year backing him up. Luck's left tackle was taken in the high second and his OG was taken in the first. Toby Gerhart was a Heisman candidate taken in the 2nd round by the Vikings. Owen Marecic was drafted in the 4th round. WR Ryan Whalen was a 6th round pick. WR Doug Balwin, WR Chris Owusu and RB Jeremy Stewart are all on NFL rosters after going undrafted. Please, give me a break, this isn't even a debate.

Haaaaa!! Is that a fact? So, which is it, the players were two young for us to notice how dominants they were, or the were so talented they made Manuel look better than he is? I rest my case. Be sure to check out my post in which I list NFL talent on offense Luck played with.

Owusu was rated as a first round talent before the concussions as well. I saw him listed as the second rated WR in the country prior to the season.

White was drafted in the second round. Despite being 6-0 tall and not being considered as an NFL level passer.

Go ahead and list your PROVEN Stanford talent.

I'm gonna say the list goes something like this...

Andrew Luck....

and the boys.
Proven? Proven? Proven?

Got your proven right here. I limited to offensive talent that is currently playing in the NFL.

It worked out so well he is at a pro day again several years later.

That's correct. But Manuel had superior offensive talent because they said so.

Why don't you start a thread about this since this has nothing to do with the topic?
