If you hate Sherman i completely understand and you have ever right to, but I love it. He is a rare guy who is way better as a pro than in college and its amazing to see him do this well.

So I guess everyone that doesn't graduate from Stanford and isn't an All Pro corner is worse at life?

God this is why football scholarships to great schools suck.

Yeah he has a Stanford degree, the guy probably took the easiest possible classes at Stanford and on top of that elite schools are known for grade inflation.

I love Sherman, but he should not get confused... just because you're a football player at Stanford does not in anyway mean you are smart... here at UVa some football players are dumb as rocks.

I'm not trying to hate on anything Sherman has accomplished. Props to anyone who graduates from Stanford. Not many people go from Compton to Palo Alto. As a niner fan, I can also say that he is one of the best corners in the league. Possibly the best.

But it's getting real old seeing him in the media. Like said before, totally setting himself up for "a ha! in your face!" moments whenever he fails.

And maybe Skip has said stuff about Sherman that got him upset. I thought he was kind of uncalled for, though. A lot of people will think it's cool because they hate Skip, but I just thought it was rude.

He graduated with a degree in Communications.

Sherman graduated from Stanford with a degree in communications and was highly recruited out of Dominguez High in Compton, Calif, but chose Stanford over nearby USC because he wanted to make a statement about the importance of education, becoming the first athlete from Compton to attend Stanford.

Skip is a jerk, but guess what that's his job it's what ESPN pays him to do. To start talking about you're a better person than someone is just wrong.

Sherman needs to also remember he plays a game that one bad tackle can end your football life. Skip will still have a job for the next 15-20 years.

This is one of those case where you went at the A Hole so hard that you yourself became the A Hole

How many NFL players even have degrees? He probably had a lot of help, but it's still a degree from Stanford. Tons of respect to him for graduating from Stanford coming straight out of Compton...

But seriously, his attack on Skip is more impressive when you read it. His delivery was terrible and lacked the confidence to back his words. He stuttered, circled around and had no real point.

Imagine if Deion Sanders (or any cocky/funny athlete) talked like that while saying all his famous sound bites.

Well maybe his communication degree will come in handy after his playing days in helping him find something. Wouldn't be surprised if he tries to parlay his football career into a media career like a lot of NFL players do once they retire, which would be ironic.

Liberal arts degree. It would be impressive that he was accepted to Stanford...if not for the fact that it's likely the result of an athletic scholarship. With most of these highly regarded colleges, the courses are no more difficult (and often easier) than those of your average state school. Harvard is reportedly blowoff city, for example.

You're overreaching.
It's very difficult to get into schools like Stanford and Harvard, but once you get in they don't like to give students low or failing marks in their course studies.

Harvard isn't blowoff city.
Almost every student is literally the valedictorian or salutatorian of their HS, or had a 4.0+ GPA. Harvard is ultra competitive because of the student sitting next to you, not because of the name of the university.
People don't go to Harvard and Stanford to coast academically or intellectually.

At many elite universities if you show up for class everyday and make an honest effort to do your very best work on class assignments, the worst grade you will receive is a 'C'.

Besides you don't just get into Stanford because you're a good athlete.
If you checked out Sherman's HS transcript, I would guess he ranked in the top 2-3% of his graduating HS class.
Per man, Stanford has some of the most impressive student-athletes academically that I've ever seen.

Sherman is just a prick. It has nothing to do with where he went to college.

You can find douche bags EVERYWHERE.
It's what makes America great.

So Joe Haden has entered the mix and basically said Revis is on another planet than everyone else and is the best corner, but that he himself is the second best (yes, better than Sherman, who he did give some praise to). Now, Im not sure I think Haden is the second best corner out there, but hes definitely high on the list, and I think is def underrated because he plays for the Browns. But to me, I have no problem with Haden being confident in himself and calling himself the 2nd best, because he did it with a little humility. He explained how he has watched tape on Revis because Revis is a shining example and how his footwork and patience and things set him apart. He also didnt feel the need to take a shot at anyone else to elevate himself, which is what bother me about Sherm....So anyways, how long til Sherm fires off a tweet pointing out he has more interceptions than Haden and makes himself further look like a moron?

If accurate, that score is a little surprising to me.
His GPA is a more important predictor for success in college, but I just thought he would've scored higher on a standardized test.

BTW I think most douches were like that from way back. Like before they could walk.
There's no test to predict it.

Tell Joe Haden to tout himself with AJ Green in the same room.

His GPA is a more important predictor for success in college, but I just thought he would've scored higher on a standardized test.

BTW I think most douches were like that from way back. Like before they could walk.
There's no test to predict it.
I'm not exactly sure that Compton has the most challenging academic material around.

990 on his SAT. Now his nonsensical rant makes a little more sense.
So this puts his score on par with Peyton Manning's score.

Sherman sort of was out of his mind when he went after Brady after the New England game. Safe to say he's high on something, just not sure what.

Nah, they go to those schools to get a degree from a prestigious university so they can make the big bucks. If they get the opportunity to slack off, they probably will.

The number one determinant of how difficult a course is is the instructor. There are some classes with teachers that amount to playing quarterback for the 2002 Texans. No matter how good (smart) you are, you're not going to be highly successful.

Then there are other classes that are the equivalent to playing wide receiver for the New England Patriots. These are the courses where the instructor curves every test to where a 20/50 is an A...because, despite the fact that nobody has any clue about the difficult material being taught, he can't fail everyone.
