It's criminal IMO the Pats have never surrounded Brady(except for the Randy Moss experiment) with the kind of WR talent most of the top tier NFL QBs have had throughout their careers.

When you build your passing attack around your TEs, possession receivers who struggle to get deep and RBs, it stunts your offensive game to a degree.

No top QB has done more with less catching the ball than Brady.
And when they did give him Randy Moss he threw the most TDs in NFL history.

Maybe a player. Wilfork? Hernandez?

Um.

Mallett.

Wow.

Mallett + No. 29 + 2014 3rd does equal Larry Fitzgerald if my math is correct.

LOL. Wasn't funny at the time for Skins fans.

LL came back next summer for the Skins TC weighing 230# after that assault/hit-and-run by Jacobs, putting on almost 20#.

When it actually happened in real time, I thought LL broke his neck.

Oh whoops sorry...got that mixed up. Yeah you are correct.

Yeah that is one of the things that fueled Landry to go GI Joe in the training room and become a behemoth with the muscles.

Really wouldn't say their offense is limited, but when Gronk is hurt, they can't do much. But most teams are in the same boat. When your top receiver is out, you're not as good.

The Giants and Packers are slightly different since all of their receivers are basically the same type of player.

I feel like there haven't been any outrageous contracts this year.

Like Megatron, Fitz vs everyone else.
or Qbs Brees, Flacco, Manning vs Everyone else

Mario and Peppers sitting at 16 and 14...while everyone else is at 12.66-10

DT Suh and McCoy sitting at 12 and the next closest is Ngata at 9.

While most other positions only have a slight drop off from 1-2, 2-3 and so on.

So far 7 FA were given top 10 money. Goldson #3 highest paid S, the 3 WRs, Kruger rounding out at 10, Levitre and Vasquez,

Still waiting on if any of those franchise tag guys sign a big deal.

I'm pretty sure the Cardinals won't even consider trading Fitz until 2015-16. Hes due a $10 million option bonus on Friday and another $8 million roster bonus in 2015. A team would have to offer the Cardinals more than just what Fitzgerald is worth as a player to get them to eat the cap hit they'd take for trading him now, and I don't think New England could offer anything the Cardinals would agree to because all of their draft picks are going to be in the later part of every round.

How about a QB with franchise potential who's a perfect fit for your brand new head coach's offense? Plus the picks of course.

It costs 8 million more against the cap to trade Fitz than it does to keep him. Then they have to sign a receiver and pay him. Arizona cut its roster deep to get under the cap. Don't think they want to cut any more just so Patriots fans can have a LF wet dream.

Whoever said that on Twitter is the worst kind of meatball jagoff fan, not someone who knows football. It's like the Yankees fans who are always talking about trading their crappy A ball prospects for EVERY ALL-STAR.

"This is Tawmmy from Quinzee repartin' on all of tha fackin' trade rumahs. Word is that Americah's sweethahts, the fackin' GREATRIOTS are gonna trade for-ah Larry Fitzgerald to replace that ovahrated traitah Wes Welkah. Larry Fitzgerald is gonna make the GREATRIOTS wicked good! NO ONE DENIES THIS!"

Floyd & Roberts with some sort of o-line/QB would be better than Fitz, Floyd & Roberts with the current o-line and QBs

Looking at some of these numbers makes me laugh a little then I realize Hawk is on the hook for 15 mil over the next 3 years.

Sean Smith is on the Packers' radar. Tramon due 6 mil. Shields has a 2nd round tender.

Thn of course there is the Jennings rumblings, and GB vs ATL for Stephen Jackson.

Nice signing by Denver. DRC is going to do a prove it deal with the 1 year contract. If he is smart, he will follow Champ Bailey everywhere and do everything he does to prepare for games.

Wes Welker turned down a 2 year deal worth close to 15 mil. to an anonymous AFC team because "they were not a real contender"..

And the patriots offered a 2 year deal that could reach 16mil with incentives, but Wes felt they were too hard to reach/realistic.

I'm sure he will... Cause we all know who he is as a person. And how he goes to work everyday.

You know what tells me more? That the team that drafted him had no problem trading him and the team who traded for him let him go without even giving him a offer.

And the patriots offered a 2 year deal that could reach 16mil with incentives, but Wes felt they were too hard to reach/realistic.
I think when he saw that he was only going to get 2 years from anyone he went where he could win a SB and F over the Pats... Done and Done.

I think if I was Nnamdi Asomugha I would be calling the Pats or the 49ers and asking them to sign me for a two year 6 million deal. He's getting paid 4 million from Philly this year anyways.

But this guy has never even played in the Playoffs. He's made a TON of money the last 5 years. He should put winning first now.

Very good point. As a player, you see he takes way too many chances and misses more than he actually makes a play. He has the tools to be a very good CB. Lets see if Champ has an effect on him off the field. (Namdi didnt sound like too good of a leader from reports).
