Greg Jennings visiting the Vikings today.
It's on.

What a surprise the Viqueens going after another Packers player. If he did somehow land there I would barf. It wouldn't be the same as how Favre dis it but it would still leave a bad taste in my mouth.

This may sound like a broken record but I'm sick of the Packers doing nothing in free agency besides signing a few scabs here and there. Yes Woodson and Pickett were exceptions but what that's like 1 year out of 10. Its good to not break the bank on some of these guys but you can't tell me there's nobody decent out there we couldn't get for decent because others have. I can't expect this team to keep up with Seattle and San Fran with rookies alone. We have seen this year after year.

might be using the cap this year to get rodgers and clay's big extensions done. Probably better to get that out of the way first before bringing in othe rplayers on other deals

I expect Jennings to sign with Minnesota. This situation feels a lot like what Welker dealt with from New England, where he has been good for quite some time and turns bitter towards the team when he doesn't get offered the money he feels he deserves. Minnesota may not appear like the greatest situation with Ponder at quarterback, but Peterson will open the opportunity for Jennings to face plenty of single coverage if he goes there, and it's a team with two first rounders to try and improve the holes on the squad.

Now that we've moved on from Jackson, I'd like to see us target Danny Woodhead.

Yes that's understandable but still this is TT and every FA is the same. Jennings or not whatever... but we could do something.

We already have DuJuan Harris and Cobb, what would Woodhead add?

He's a proven, durable third down caliber back

We already have two players that can do the same job as Woodhead. What would be the point?

right now Kuhn is our third down back...Harris is fast but he's strictly a north-south runner who shows little ability to read blocks...let's not act like he isn't replaceable

Benson was a proven durable back too, until he donned the Green & Gold.
Alex Green was healthy too, and fresh, until he put on the Green & Gold.

Harris is more than a north south runner and he has shown good ability catching the ball out of the backfield. And we have Cobb as well who's 10x better than Woodhead...Harris is capable of being a starting RB but Woodhead isn't. Signing him would just mean more confusion at that position, when the gain is minimal. We'd still be in need of a #1 RB, but we'd have Woodhead, Harris and Alex Green. If we brought in another RB through the draft to be our starter we could be hesitant to just cut Harris or Green, because we'd be too weak at RB and I doubt we'd want to carry 4 on the roster. I just don't think it would be worth it.

Free agent Greg Jennings is dining with Vikings brass on Thursday evening, including coach Leslie Frazier and GM Rick Spielman.

And I'm sure they'll be discussing the parameters of a deal

I think this is exactly what's happening, and I don't think that his sister came up with all of those twitter ideas on her own without hearing her brothers complaints.
I think Colledge and Wells were also rumored to be bitter towards the Packers because their feelings were hurt in contract negotiations.

Cullen Jenkins as well.
Brandon Jackson a bit too as he was a valuable contributor in that Super Bowl playoff run, and the team cast him aside for Alex Green, who hasn't done ****. Of course, Jackson tore his ACL too just like Green did, so a wash there.
NFL needs to put in another rule that says no more tearing ACLs. I'm tired of them.

They were also on the verge of signing Jackson and Jennings at one point so..... I could really give a **** about him anyways. If anything get Shields signed long-term.

Dumervil would provide us with another pass rushing option, but discussing the possibility of him is pointless because we all know there will be teams more aggressive in pursuit of him.

I really wish the team would show more interest in bringing Brad Jones back; he was our best inside backer last year.
