Im a world wide web guy and go to a ton of sites, but I cant get a bead on Barret Jones' draft stock. I have seen him all over the place from the mid third round to the lower half of the first. I personally think he should be an early-mid second rd pick, but that is my very uneducated opinion.

So what is the deal? What is his stock do you think?

The Lisfranc fracture in his foot affects his stock more-so than his game tape at this point. If he gets a full clear on his future he'll be a late 1st or 2nd round pick. If it's deemed an issue he may free-fall despite showing IMHO as the best lineman on that 'Bama line.

I had him pegged as a first rounder until the Lisfranc.

Lisfranc injuries scare me, especially for bigger dudes. Some come back all the way without any problems. The occasional guy has it just keep breaking over and over and over until they retire. Some guys who had really significant fractures have it cause them pain for the rest of their lives, which affects their play. I've got him as a third round value now.

I don't see him falling to the third regardless of the injury. Some team will be confident that he will be capable of recovering eventually and will be too interested in the upside to pass up on him.

Unless he gets good news about the fracture it doesn't look good for him in the first round, though.

I think he easily falls to the third. Not only is he injured, he hasn't proven what sort of athlete he is, although we know he's a great technician.
