Sanders did sign the offer sheet from the Patriots after all. Don't know the contract details yet but if it's front loaded, and it might very well be, we're ******.

Didn't somebody tell me earlier in the year , when I was messing around with mocks ... Say That there is no wayyyy somebody would offer Brown a contract having to give up a 3rd round pick??????
I would love to see something like this
1 - WR Justin Hunter / WR DeAndre Hopkins
2 - FS David Amerson / FS Matt Elam
3 - WR Marcus Wheaton / WR Aaron Dobson / WR Ryan Swope / WR Kenny Stills
3 - TE ordan Reed / TE Dion Simms

There are still conflicting reports in regards to Sanders signing anything. He actually was on his official facebook and said he hasn't signed anything but didn't say if he was offered an offer sheet. If he is, Pats are smart and will front load it so Pittsburgh can't match. If we lose Sanders, definitely will need a WR early in the draft. I really like Justin Hunter.

Colbert says they haven't received an offer sheet which means Sanders hasn't signed one. But where there's this much talk there's usually something to it. Probably will happen Monday if its going to.
I like Hunter or Woods. I'd be trying to get one of them even if we keep Sanders since he could easily be gone next offseason anyway.

Adam Schefter is reporting Pittsburgh is interested in Ahmad Bradshaw. May bring him in for a visit and physical as early as the beginning of this week.

Also, according to the Baltimore Sun we're interested in Elvis Dumervil. I'd love Dumervil, I'd like Bradshaw too.

Even on one foot, Bradshaw would be the best back we have. No way we can afford Doom, but I'd love it.

You're right about Bradshaw, even if we add a talented rookie our RB group is just a bunch of fatties that at times delude Steeler fans into thinking they're the next Bettis. One good game and they're immediately annointed as the reincarnation of a HOF RB.
As for Dumervil, maaaaaybe if we give him a deal with back-loaded guaranteed, so he has a small number this year. Also cut Keisel and/or others.

They'd both be great signings. So naturally I'm expecting neither.

If Bradshaw passes a physical, I believe it could get done. Felt the same way with Beanie.

Between us and Green Bay I'd say we probably want him more, but if someone else gets involved you never know. Veteran running backs have been very cheap the last couple years.

Couple more guys I'd be interested in if cheap:
- WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, poor mans Mike Wallace
- RB Kevin Smith, I've always thought he's a little underrated
- ILB Brad Jones, not flashy, but solid, ala Foote in his better days

how much under the cap are we? Doom may be attainable if the contract is backloaded

Elvis would be a perfect signing for this team. Exactly what the defense needs. But I really doubt some team doesn't offer him a lot more than we can.

Reports we tried to sign Jake Long. Guess they don't have much faith in what we have at tackle either. Could be a sign the team has more money to work with than we thought though.

We don't have depth either, it's Gilbert, Adams, and Beachum basically. Hopefully Starks is brought back at some point.

i think the general consensus among the steelers beat writers is that we're a couple mil under the cap... but if we're entertaining any of these bigger FA's you gotta think we haev a couple of players in mind that we will cut if we need the $
also colon will free up about 5 mil.. but not until may 1st i believe

just read an article on grantland by barnwell that suggests dumerville will take a one year contract around 5 mil with a contender to try and restore his value
guess that makes sense

It'll make me happy if its us then we franchise and keep him. One season with him will be great, but I want this him on the team for years. Never easy to find a great pass rusher.

Tears of joy kind of happy:
Jarvis Jones
Cordarelle Patterson
It was previously just Jones who i think is a perfect fit, but Patterson has skyrocketed up my board (had him #1 for WRs for a while, but hes surpassing more and more players)
Previous players to make me feel this way: David Decastro, Michael Oher, Julio Jones, Vernon Gholston, Gaines Adams, Eric Berry, Suh, Calvin Johnson.
Thrilled:
Star Loutouei
Chance Warmack
Jonathan Cooper
Keenan Allen
Barkevious Mingo
Dion Jordan
Xavier Rhodes
All of these guys are game changing difference makers, even the guards....both are top notch prospects and will be the final piece to making a terrific oline.
Happy:
Justin Hunter
DeAndre Hopkins
Damontre Moore
Tyler Eifert
Bjoern Werner
Eziekiel Ansah
Desmond Trufant
Most of these guys might be slight reaches but are on the cusp of being valued at 17 and if a reach is necessary to get their guy, then so be it.
Annoyed, but can live with it:
Eddie Lacy
ANY Defensive tackle...Hankins, Jenkins, J. Williams, Richardson, S. Williams
Kenny Vaccaro
Manti Teo
Arthur Brown
Absolutely Furious:
Jonathan Cyprien
Alec Ogletree
Kevin Minter
Tavon Austin
Datone Jones
Ive listed around 30 players, so Its pretty safe to say one of these guys will be the first round pick. Few guys like Ansah, have moved up and few guys like Teo, lacy have moved down
7 players each for the first 3 rounds...players i like to think they are targeting:
Round 1
Cordarelle Patterson
Jarvis Jones
Dion Jordan
Barkevious Mingo
Keenan Allen
Jonathan Cooper
Star Loutouei
Round 2
David Amerson
Matt Elam
Justin Hunter
Robert Woods
Alex Okafor
Giovanni Bernard
Margus Hunt
Round 3
Brian Schwenke
Corey Lemonier
Marcus Lattimore
TJ Mcdonald
BW Webb
Stepfan Taylor
Terrence Williams
