I know we need another ILB but I wouldn't be so sure that we address it that early in the draft. ILB in a 34 just isn't a value position. I'd rather look at the value at OL, S, or maybe a WR at the end of the 1st. A trade down is always an option.

Depends on what kind of LB they're targeting. Your typical "thumper" type of ILBs like what the Ravens have now in McClain, McClellan, and Bynes aren't all that valuable but that's why those three guys were all undrafted free agents too. Of course two of those three players came out of college as defense ends so maybe that's not the best example. The Ravens still need a LB that can stay on the field for all 3 downs though and those kind of guys definitely have value.

With that said I wouldn't be surprised to see Baltimore get another "thumper" type in the draft since they've seemed to be content with Lewis and McClain/Ellerbe over the last few seasons. Add a guy like Huff who can cover TEs better than anybody else the Ravens have had recently helps alleviate those kinds of concerns. Whatever they do I still think the Ravens should definitely be looking to add another quality player at the position.

If they elect to go with an ILB later, Jon Bostic is a heck of a player we have a shot at in the 3rd. He's a tank and hits like a ton of bricks. There's probably better S and ILB value in the 2nd and 3rd. LT is creeping up my wish list in the first.

Ideally, I'd like to trade down a little in the second, grab a developmental LT like Terron Armstead and resign McKinney, and take a safety, ILB, and WR with the next 3 picks.

If there was any quality LT projected to be available in the late first I would hope they go after him but I don't see anybody worth it right now. Watson gets a lot of hype but he's a pretty risky prospect that's pretty much in the exact opposite mold Ozzie likes for his top draft picks. The same goes for Armstead. Pugh seems to be gaining momentum but his lack of length really worries me.

We've taken some chances on later round guys. Xavier Nixon of Florida is a Day 3 guy we could take a chance on. Looked like a stud early on after an All-star high school career but he's very inconsistent. If we took a shot with Gaither, I see no reason why we wouldn't throw a 4th or 5th at him.

I don't disagree with that I'm just not seeing the Ravens taking a LT in the first (or second) round. Chris Faulk is another interesting guy that could be had in the 3rd+ range. Ozzie has brought in some of the small-school behemoths in the recent past too (Harewood and Mims) so Marquardt is a guy I'm keeping an eye on as well.

If DeAndre Hopkins is still on the board, I hope the Ravens get him.

I like Faulk. He came in and replaced Ciron Black as a RS Freshman I believe and has been a rock for LSU. But I think he's got some of the same issues as Black in that he's a heavy footed mauler type. It works in the SEC but in today's NFL with spread offenses and the pass rushing specialists, he'll probably have to shift to RT or inside to guard.

Yes, yes and more yes. Hopkins is a guy I love, seeing him in purple and black would make me quite happy.

Who tops yalls wishlist for early round players we draft?

Kennan Allen, Arthur Brown, and Eric Reid are some of my favorite picks for the first, but I feel like Ozzie is going to make some moves so it's hard to predict where we'll be and who we'll target.

I don't know if I really have favorite for the Ravens first/second round picks. There are a bunch of prospects I'd be really happy for them to get though. Allen, Austin, Hopkins, Williams, Brown, Greene, Minter, Elam, and Cyprien are picks I'd like the most I think.

I really hope we can work out a trade similiar to what we did with the Broncoes a while back. Looking at this draft unless Tavon Austin slips I dont see anyone that I would love us to have. A mid 2nd, 3rd and 4th for 32 would be a dream.

I don't know, I kind of like the value for us at 32. I can see certain players falling to us that I'm very fond of, guys like DeAndre Hopkins who would be absolutely perfect. I know Ozzie loves to trade back, but I think there's a good deal of value at our positions of need at 32 this year.

I would like him to but Ozzie never seems to take WR early. I know he took Torrey Smith but how many years did we have a terrible WR corp and we didnt take one. We could move to the mid 2nd and take Justin Hunter then grab a OL with our original second round pick. Also if we have more ammo like that we could trade a 4th for a ILB w/ something left in the tank.

Another scenario I see is w/ Jarvis Jones slipping how about him at 32? What if we trade up a few slots just to get him

I've never personally been a big fan of Jones (more of a Mingo guy), but anywhere after about 20 he's an absolute steal. I can't see him falling within range of us, but if he does, it'd certainly be tempting...Although with Suggs, Doom and Upshaw on board, not sure how we'd get him on the field.

He could play inside in a 34. But after looking at his pro day results idk about the pick. Everything was terrible. Slower then Sergio Kindle

If his pro day was good, there's no way he would fall into the 20s. If he's still there in the latter part of the 1st round, I would be fine with trading up to get him.

I've been thinking about this scenario quite a bit recently. We're not one to pass up value and it's hard to pass up pass rushers in general but it's tough when there are a few legitimate holes that need to be filled this year. I very much doubt we'd move up to get him. I think it's more likely that we'd move back if Jarvis was at 32 with the thought that someone out there would move up to get him.

Also if we have more ammo like that we could trade a 4th for a ILB w/ something left in the tank.
Back then the team was built around the defense. Now it's the offense that is carrying them so I could see Ozzie investing high picks on the side of the ball more frequently.

I'm not sure why a team would use Jones as an ILB when his best asset by far is his pass-rushing ability. It's hard to say Jones can actually play ILB (effectively) anyways.

Make the trade Ozzie.

New Orleans could be an option for a trade down since they don't have a second. We'd need to throw in a 3rd as well. That is a lot but Atlanta would tell you it's worth the big trade. We do have a lot of holes to fill though.
