Wut? Winfield is better on the inside than the outside, and has been for a long time.

Another thought crossed my mind...is it possible that the Patriots are trying to force Pittsburgh into cutting someone else for cap room to match the offer?

idk if he flames and burns you get a good pick.

or else

He just Winzzzzzz.

No coach wants to take the chance. He has piss poor mechanics, even if he does just win. What can you use as an excuse to starting him, everyone and their mom knows he is a terrible practice player. Starting tebow may cost you a job, cause as a new head coach everyone will be questioning why the hell are you starting him, what has he shown?

Palmer will be broken in half, when he passes 40+ times a game.

And then the typical draw play on 3rd and long.

I think Harrison has the skillset to be JOKER in a 4-3. Kind of how the Broncos use Von Miller.

I'm surprised more teams haven't went after Harrison. Yes he's old as dirt, but if you give him a cheap 2 year deal I don't see the harm in that at all.

Perfect player for your owner - someone that literally has nowhere else to go and will probably sign the first contract offered.

That's the problem - in his mind, he is worth way more than a cheap contract. Bet he is wishing he took that paycut offer from Steelers.

Harrison is so done it's not even funny. He's fat, slow and non explosive.

The story about him being a hypocrite about working out and coming in way out of shape is enough for me to not even consider him.

Apparently other teams have jumped in on Winfield.

Makes sense. Teams probably reacted the same way everyone on this board did when they heard Seattle was closing in.

I hope San Fran isn't one of them.

He had 6 sacks in LeBeau's defense... below average for their standards. I don't have his pressure numbers but I can't remember a single impact play like he used to make.

Then the story came out that he was telling younger players to get in the weight room and those players never saw him there and he looked way bigger than usual.

And the most telling of it all is that they don't want him back. And no one else wants him. Expect the penny-pinching Mike Browns of Cincinnati.

Eh, 6 sacks in 13 games isn't terrible. He was on pace for like 8 on the season.

As a situational player, or as a JOKER, I think he can fit. Depends on the price. He brings toughness with him, and I always felt every good defense needs a dirtbag on it to bring that physicality to the table.

A good defense is borderline dirty. And it needs a goon. Harrison can be your goon on defense.

Come on man, I want to see it so bad! He's so damn entertaining.

I honestly do want to see a team just buy in to him and build a read option scheme around him and just ride it out. Just to see what happens. No one will ever do it, but I just want to see it happen.

Harrison is not done, he was just as productive as ever near the end of the year...hes got a touchy back though, but hes still a decent pass rusher and a monster against the run. Hes getting old, but hes a young 35. Hes got 2 good years left in him, especially if they slide him to the middle somewhere or keep him as a solid rotation

Hes held sooooo much because hes so short though, thats where the lack of "pressure" stats come from.

Worilds has pressure but he never gets there or just misses completely...harrison is better
