If RGIII didn't get hurt I would've went with him, even if he fully recovers they won't risk running him into the ground. I'd say Cam is #1 followed by RGIII and then Kaepernick.

You can't play every game against the Packers and Rams.

Is that better?

Cams already passed for over 4000 yards before, and has ran for 700+ before.

It's conceivable to think he could run for an another 300 yards while still throwing for slightly more than his career average thus far.

I don't think any of them will. Not sure anyone ever will. That's way too much for a team to expect their QB to run the ball and in turn would probably lead to injury. Not gonna happen.

If I had to choose the best option to do it though, it would be Cam. Least likely to get hurt. I wish Chip Kelly would have gone to Carolina, because Cam would have had a legit shot at this.

the only QB that i could see doing this would be Cam, none of the other qbs mentioned run enough, and if they do dont have the durability to take the pounding....or throw enough.

Cam is the only one i could see throwing it enough but also running enough to come close.

That's a HOF stat right there, even though I don't think it's passing/running double any QB wants to achieve.

Not really. I'd say your logic would have a point if the Rams and Packers were the only teams that he ran a decent amount of yardage against. Since he's done it to more than a couple of teams in only 10 starts, I don't think there is any team that would be able to consistently shut him down in that department for sure. All it takes is one play and he's gone. Not sure why you would think he he would have to face a specific opponent for him to tear it up on the ground anyways.

I think its way too difficult to do that.
I mean, you're looking at one of the best offenses in the NFL if a QB does that, speaking yardage totals here.
5000+ from your starting QB, plus at least another 1,000 rushing.
Considering only 5 teams in the NFL last year had 6,000+ total yards of offense, I just find it hard to see a QB being able to average 250 passing yards a game AND 62.5 rushing yards a game, keeping balance with the rest of the offense. And again, I doubt a coach will want his QB to get hit that much.

...has any Quarterback actually managed 1000 yards rushing in a season, period? I'm a little out of date on that subject, and the closest I've ever heard of was Bobby Douglas way back in the 1970's.

Randall Cunningham came close in 1990. Over 900 yards rushing on less than 120 carries.
