I cannot see a scenerio where that happens. One of Star, Floyd, Milliner, Rhodes, Joeckel, Fisher, or Lane Johnson would be available...thats assuming NO QBs are taken before 17 and with some really tackle needy teams in between.

You can pretty much pencil in a CB, 1-3 DTs, and a QB before 17.

But i wouldnt hate using a first on Hunter or Elam worst case scenerio

Matt Elam is probably the best fit out of those 3, Rhodes is probably the best player, Brown is probably the most sexual to watch

This draft is weird to me. Very few players I really want. We seem to be at the right point to collect one of the better players that starts falling though, especially if 2 QBs are taken before it.

Steeler Depot reporting that Steve Mclendon is visiting the Packers! Something about his ability to refuse our tender and the Packers having a ton of cap space.

right now i can comfortably say NT is a need but its wayyyyyy down the list. I do think between mcclendon, woods, fangupu, and taamu theres a legit starting NT in there, but mcclendon has showed the most thus far and losing him would put reasonable doubt in the group and probably put jenkins, hankings, or williams higher on their board...not that any of them are bad players i just think theres way bigger needs than NT and id like to keep it that way

I just don't know why McClendon would sign to be a back up, which he will be in Green Bay. That said, I think we'd match.

honestly a 3-4 NT isnt even all that important anymore in today's nfl

we could get by without having to spend an early pick on another one if steve leaves us

having said that, i dont want him to leave

steelers depot on twitter - who i would say is probably the most self-informed steeler writer out there; posted his mock here:

http://www.steelersdepot.com/2013/04...-draft-visits/

his analysis is kind of interesting

Michael would not be a steeler. But Cooper, Hunter, Shamarko, and Lemonier are all awesome picks and ive had all those players mocked to us at one point or another.

also:

Quote:
Mathieu and Mingo participated in positional drills and both impressed throughout the afternoon. Afterward, they were also popular in interviews as well, with the Honey Badger spending extensive time with Tomlin and several of the other NFL assistant coaches on campus. Mathieu is expected to be drafted sometime on the second day of the draft and Mingo is a likely first-round pick. Head coach Les Miles added that he wouldn't be surprised if Mingo is the "first defensive player off the board."

reading that the run on the top 3 tackles expected in the top 7 picks will make dj fluker a top 11 pick - many saying he wont get past san diego whom desperately needs a tackle

would be great for us - keep pushing those other prospects down!

Someone who I think is going to fall to us in a perfect situation Bjoern Werner.

Lot of guys have climbed up ahead of him and people are sleeping on him right now.

Like last year when we lucked out with a G, this year we luck out with a OLB.

Yeah, my main knock on him is consistency.

He was only good against UF, other than that he was racked up his 13 sacks mostly against weaker schools.

I think this is a deep WR draft, where we again will wait till the second round to draft one.

CB/S and OLB will probably be the focus for the first round.

Ryan Clark is 34, who knew? Troy is always injured, this will be the rookie bench year and next year he will start.

we realistically need 4 starters out of this draft by the start of 2014's season

ilb,wr,fs, are all pretty much for sures

ss,olb,rb are all maybes
