A CB for a FB.

Arenas is hot garbage, but still, that seems off.
Does Reid even use a fullback? Definitely seems off.

Reid uses the FB position. A good FB goes a long way. They've become a somewhat underrated commodity.

Fullbacks are still a thing? I kind of thought they were going extinct.

They would be if the HBack wasn't so mediocre at run blocking. I don't get why we can't consistently find quality HBacks who can block.

Arenas hardly produced at any level. He was a solid nickle CB, but he wasn't great. I thought Jalil Brown was much better than him the last year or two.

I don't really mind the trade. Just seems weird.

because if you are a RB that can run block good, you will be turned into a FB. That is what they probably think. Getting less touches and being an athletic lineman isn't cool, or gets you paid.

The guys that are too small to be TEs but too big to be RBs, if they just developed as a pass catcher who could run block and have enough power for short yardage runs, they'd become such a great asset to an offense.

We need more Aaron Hernandez's in this world.

I agree, but those guys sometimes are slow plodders, and in the spread college game, there isn't room for them.

There can be, Temple uses a lot of h-back, and TE mix. The guy can be on the line motion to the back and run with the ball or catch it out the back.

But for a vast majority you are going either 4 WR spread or 3 Wr/1TE, and 1 rb.

Green Bay's DJ Williams has been disappointing as a pass catcher, but he has turned into a pretty solid lead blocker in the Packers inverted wishbone.

For as long as I've been addicted to football, I've never fully understood why the TE and the FB are two distinct positions. The H-back has always made so much sense to me.

Sherman is a great blocker and good receiver, KC is definitely getting the better part of the deal. BA just doesn't use FBs in his offense and we still needed a kick returner.

I'm crossing my fingers on Evan Rodriguez.

And he was drafted with the pick they got for trading Tony G.

With all the rumors about the Chiefs trading Albert, im kind of surprised that the Jaguars arent shopping LT Eugene Monroe. With the Jaguars drafting Joeckel as the projected starting LT in 2013 or 2014 and with Monroe going into the final year of his rookie contract, im surprised that the Jaguars arent actively shopping him and that no team has at least inquired about him. If the Jaguars are going to keep Monroe after 2013, you would think that they would have extended him already.

NFL teams are now using two Left Tackles, and one of them just happens to line up on the right side. The stereotypical Right Tackle is becoming a thing of the past.

The old right tackle isn't a thing of the past... he's just a guard now.

In case people are wondering, Tim Tebow is NOT actually working out/taking a physical/signing with the Dolphins right now, despite what the internet might be telling you.

Haha, maybe but if he does come to Miami, he won't be making the roster at QB with Tannehill, Moore, and Devlin firmly entrenched.

Oh Shady.....

Michael Vick beat LeSean McCoy in a 40-yard race Thursday.
24-year-old McCoy has been barking at 32-year-old Vick during offseason workouts, calling him an "old man." Per PFT, Vick agreed to a race and "smoked him by five yards." Considering McCoy ran in the 4.5s when he came out of Pitt in 2009, it's impressive. Vick struggled to make big plays in the running game last season, averaging a career-low 5.4 YPC and scoring one touchdown.

Doesn't surprise me 1 bit. Vick is still super fast, it's the holding onto the ball thing and durability that he struggles with. Running fast in a straight line without contact he'll probably always be really good at. If Shady isn't making cuts all over the place he always gets caught, I saw a bunch of his long runs where he got caught from behind.

This is kinda why I wanted the Cowboys to take Terron Armstead even though we have Tyron Smith, so while I somewhat agree that some teams don't really care, how many teams right now are employing two right Tackles? I know KC and Jax, but I don't think KC is planning on it and Jax is probably at most 1 year. I can't think of any more teams who are trotting out two Left Tackles because they are hard to get and seeing as how the RT is much cheaper you aren't going to see many LT guys willingly play over there.

I doubt we truly see this wide spread.
