He was also the one they went to in short yardage situations, in which he actually saved FSU's season against Virginia Tech on 4th and 1 on the game winning drive.
James Wilder Jr.'s best comparison is probably Earl Campbell. He looks for contact and embraces leveling defenders to get more yardage. He could have been a tremendous LB, but he can be a special RB as well. He's pretty much the reverse Ernie Sims (Top LB in the country out of HS and #2 RB behind some kid named Reggie Bush).
