Ball will be a really boring and really productive RB during Mannings time in Denver. He is just a complement to Manning passing so he should be good.

It's good to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. I think Lacy is more talented then him but his toe likely won't hold up, and I believe in a few years Michael and Franklin will be two of the best backs from this class.

Ball is more quick than he is fast, and as a north-south runner he is elusive between the tackles. He also picks up the blitz well and has good hands for the position. I'm not trying to argue that Montee is going to be some great back in the NFL, but his strengths compliment a quarterback like Peyton Manning very well.

And just like that Chad Johnson acts like an adult and gets the remainder of his prison term waived. Judge must still be the issue though not Chad.

Quote:
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Former NFL star Chad Johnson is being released immediately from jail after apologizing to a judge for lack of respect when he slapped his attorney on the backside in court last week.

As a practicing attorney I would say the Judge overreacted to the situation. I was actually more disturbed by what he chose to wear to court.

It wasn't just the butt-slap. He was disrespectful and interrupted the judge previously in the case. It was just the last straw from the judge wanting to end his antics. He was treating a VERY serious situation like a court jester.

Packers officially cut Desmond Bishop

Quote:
Packers released ILB Desmond Bishop.
Bishop wouldn't accept a pay cut, so the 28-year-old hits free agency as one of the top players available. Assuming his right hamstring checks out medically -- and it was severely ruptured in last year's preseason -- Bishop would make a lot of sense reuniting with Chiefs rookie GM John Dorsey in Kansas City. A high-impact player when healthy, Bishop racked up 115 tackles, five sacks, and two forced fumbles in 13 starts in 2011, before missing all of 2012. He'd be a big upgrade on Nico Johnson and Akeem Jordan next to Derrick Johnson.

Montee Ball may not be the physically most gifted RB in this class (we could debate who that title belongs to for a while, and never come up with Ball) but he is a solid RB, and will likely have one of, if not the best, NFL career of any RB in this years draft.

He's just in the best situation, IMO

I think he'll be closer to Stevan Ridley. Get 1200 yards and double digit tds until his rookie contract expires, then go out get a big contract

This is likely more of a depth move than anything. We only have 5 OTs on the roster right now, Roos and Stewart have been held out some recently (expected to be fine though, just precautionary). Stewart is going to be brought along slowly as he recovers from his injury, but every indication is he'll be fine by the regular season.

So whats this mean? Stewart may not get much time with the ones in training camp or preseason, that will likely either be Mike Otto or Byron Stingily. I'd be surprised if it's anything more than training camp depth

Actually B. Rich played more decently as the season went on for the Rams last year. He's pretty good at run blocking and his pass pro did improve somewhat though I shuddered for Sam when a speed rusher was lined up over him.

He's not a bad backup and didn't cause any problems while in Ramdom so he's got that going for him.

Yeah, he ain't a Roos or Stew or anything but he can give ya'll some decent snaps should it become necessary.

WHAT SAY YE?

Yeah, he ain't a Roos or Stew or anything but he can give ya'll some decent snaps should it become necessary.

WHAT SAY YE?
I still think he has a hard time making the team

Bell was my favorite RB going into this draft. I think he will be very productive at the next level. He couldn't have gone to a better team for his style of play.
