I kind of love Vladimir Putin. In a bad way. I've studied a lot of Russian history, and he is a fantastic character. Way better than a movie. He's basically a villain, be he's so darn lovable. Evil and lovable. Whataguy.

Good. You'll need that fear to keep you alive if you ever have the misfortune of crossing his path.

Tim Tebow could have played in the MLB. What ? Would he had been better off playing baseball?

Apparently Santonio Holmes' lisfranc injury is a grade 4 and he's not even jogging yet. The Jets are so, so screwed this year. They've got nothing on offense. It's bad enough in camp that Rex is even talking about how bad his receivers are at catching the football. At press conferences. Quoting:

That's what they get for using #43 overall on a project so raw that his rookie contract will be up before he produces.

Chris Ivory is going to get ridden into the ground.

Jaguars are currently announcing major renovations to Everbank Field. Starting with the 2014 season, Jacksonville will have the biggest and most state-of-the-art scoreboards in the world as well as a fan area in the Noth Endzone.

Bowlen is often undervalued and/or overlooked when discussing the top owners in the NFL

Eric Decker came back from a Lisfrac as well as Brandon Stokley... it is a tough recovery, but it is possible for a WR to come back.

Jaguars don't actually need help selling tickets. Everbank Field was 96.8% of capacity last season. That is good for 17th in the league. here is just a sampling of the teams below them in terms of percentage full:

Green Bay- I would think they would be higher than the lowly Jaguars considering they have a decades long waiting list for season tickets.
Pittsburgh- One of the most successful franchises in NFL history is below the Jaguars? Embarrassing!
Washington- Shouldn't they have been excited to come and see RGIII?
Cincinnatti- A team coming off a playoff apperance can't outsell the Jaguars?
New York Jets- Wasn't Tebow on the Jets last year?
Kansas City- I always hear about how great Arrowhead Stadium is. Yet they were 7.3% less full than the Jaguars.

The idea that Jacksonville needs Tim Tebow to sell tickets is a joke. They can't really seel too many more tickets than they already do. They are doing better than a lot of teams in much better situations than they are in. Jacksonville hasn't had a blackout in any of the last three seasons despite going 15-33 in that time frame.

The Jaguars need to sell tickets is somewhat exaggerated, but they still are one of the bottom 10 in the league since 2009. It's really Florida as a whole though, Miami, Tampa and Jacksonville are all bottom 10 since 09

Miami and Tampa are just embarrassments compared to the Jaguars. Miami I think was around 75% capacity this season. I'll have to look at the numbers from previous years to see where the Jaguars stack up.

Jacksonville hasn't had a blackout in any of the last three seasons despite going 15-33 in that time frame.
what horribly skewed and wrong statistics.

Steelers are at a cool 97.7% capacity and have season tickets sold out for like 30+ years, 3,000 less seats than the jaguars. THey are low on "average attendance" because they have a smaller stadium

Same with the packers, and they hold 5k more than the steelers and maintain 97% with a long waiting list

Everywhere i look has the jags at around 50-60k average attendance and in the bottom 5 and around 75% capacity...i dont know where you are getting your made up numbers from...theres a reason they are always in talks about being moved to LA or London....and its not because "they dont need help selling tickets"

jesus....lol

I'm not using total attendance. I'm strictly using percent full to control for different stadium sizes. And in 2012, Jacksonville was at 96.8% compared to 94.1%. What is even more impressive for the Jaguars is that their stadium is over 2000 seats larger and the market has 1.3 million fewer residents.

Maybe you are using old numbers. But in 2012, Jacksonville averaged 64,984. 2011 was 62,331, and 2010 was 63,032. 2009 was horrible, but that was the only year in the last 7 where they have averaged less than 60K fans a game.

I'd like to know where you get your numbers because they are VERY wrong. Here are the Jaguars in terms of total attendance and capacity full since 2006:

2012: 20th, 17th
2011: 25th, 24th
2010: 21st, 12th
2009: 30th, 31st
2008: 21st, 17th
2007: 22nd, 19th
2006: 19th, 17th

Jacksonville actually beat Pittsburgh in percent capacity (once again NOT total attendance) in all but two of those seasons. Maybe Pittsburgh should move to London.

Wouldn't bringing in Tebow result in fewer tickets purchased?

Attendance is a red herring. Jacksonville has the third lowest ticket prices in the NFL, has very weak revenues, and are the least valuable of any NFL team.
