3:54, 4:06, 5:06. I watched the whole video first time around and none of the receivers had more impressive 1-on-1 skills than this kid. a couple months later I check and he's committed to the Noles :/

He catches a ton of screen passes but his field vision after the catch is unreal. He isn't just catching the ball in space and blowing by an over matched defender, he's taking him time to let blocks develop and open up running lanes then going from there. It is surprising to see a HS WR with that sort of patience on the play.

Seems that way since his uncle is the best LB FSU has ever had (sorry Derrick Brooks but it's true) and his dad and cousin also played at FSU. The last two legacy takes worked out well enough though with Christian Ponder and Dan Hicks (for a 2* ATH he's been a surprise if even just a situational player) so there is some hope.

EDIT:
Forgot about Nick O'Leary as he is so far a disappointing work in progress.

Kentucky added to their surprising class with 4* Juco DT Cory Johnson.

Terrific in the redzone, absolutely horrible everywhere else on the field.

Meh, they dont' put as many resources into their recruiting services as their competitors, it's just kinda there and their rankings always suck. Plus Luginbill is a dope.

I don't think using a YouTube highlight tape is an accurate way to gage a kids talent level. You're only seeing a certain selection of a kids plays and they are always his best plays, you never see him struggle. Some schools require an entire game tape of a prospect in order for them to extend him an offer. On top of that I find it a very tedious task to be able to find out who his opponent is, then having to go find out what level of talent that opponent has.

That's why I try to look for the intangibles in videos like Sousa's patience and vision on screen plays.

4* OC Joshua Casher just de-committed from Auburn. Some of the Barn fans seem to think he's gonna flip to 'Bama and take Tre Williams with him, but since we already have JC Hassenauer in the fold, I doubt he comes to Tuscaloosa. From what I'm hearing, he may end up at FSU.

FSU picked up a surprising commitment from 4* DT Dexter Wideman out of South Carolina. The commitment bumps FSU to #2 in 247's team rankings.

It seems like FSU is doing it so quietly though. Class would be far and away the #1 class if Jordan Davis and Joseph Yearby had stayed on board.

Jimbo may still be working out some game day issues, but when it comes to recruiting it's pretty much him and Nick Saban as the top dogs. Fisher got to learn Saban's disciplined regional approach then Bobby Bowden's southern gentleman routine. That is one of the scariest combinations imaginable on the recruiting trail for other teams.

urban had the #1 and #3 classes in the nation on scout's rankings the past two years. I think FSU was 11 and 13. Urban and Saban are the top 2 recruiters in college football I think it's pretty well accepted. At least the two hottest.

On 247 in 2011 and 12 FSU was #2. Still Top 10 last year with a really small class compared to others. And well Scout is total garbage.

Also something funny from the 2010 classes. Ronald Powell was a 5*, #1 overall player, Bjoern Werner was a 3* and only the 5th rated player in Connecticut.

well '11 was Muschamp's first class, Meyer was gone after '10 and everyone knew it. there was only about 1.25 years of recruiting overlap between jimbo and urban
