No if anything you go with the high reward player. You aren't going to catch up by playing it safe.

Ugh, a few days ago I was deciding between picking up Julius Thomas or Lavonte David. I already had two TEs and I figure it's only a matter of time before the rest of my league figures out that their autodrafted IDP guys are all garbage, so I went with the David. Oops.

Was against Welker last night and was pissed about his second TD since Decker dropped an easy TD one play before...went to bed with a few minutes left and woke up to find that my boy Dem Thomas closed out with a 78 yard td! Nice way to start the morning.

Everything I'm reading is miles Austin is the sleeper WR play this week and nicks has burned me in the past..but I can't force myself to pull the trigger.

I'm trying to trade Mike Wallace for RB depth. Tried Lamar Miller and Giovanni Bernard and got turned down for both. Any other ideas? I'm thinking Daryl Richardson or Darren Sproles.
You should try shopping a WR people would want. Wallace has very little value until he puts up a decent stat line this year.

Vick is the upside play, for sure. Wilson isn't likely to need more than 200 yards passing so you're basically playing for rushing yards / TDs with him. Vick can do the same and will likely need to, as the Eagles D is unlikely to slow the Skins offense.

50/50. I'd hate to bench Nicks, too. We know how talented he is and that Eli will target him in the red zone. No JPP (or very limited JPP) and a slew of injuries in the secondary should make all the Cowboys pass catchers the more reliable starts.

I need to get back into posting here now that the season has started.

My Snake Draft Money league has me in good shape this season:
(.5 PPR)

QB: Rodgers
HB: Forte, Vereen, Bradshaw, Quizz and Le'Veon Bell
WR: Bey Bey, Cobb, Mike Williams, Hopkins, Michael Floyd
TE: Witten
DST: Bengals
K: Tucker.

I know my RB are weakish but I picked 10th of 12 and nothing really stood out.

Had Decker. Played Peyton and Wes. It's going to be a long season.

Who do I start for my other WR spot and WR/TE flex?

Miles Austin, DeAndre Hopkins, Denarius Moore, Lance Moore, Emmanual Sanders, or Antonio Gates.

I'm thinking Austin/Sanders and Gates.

Yeah. I already have Jimmy Graham at my TE slot. I think Gates will have a good game against Houston. I'll probably end up picking the wrong guy between Miles and Sanders, but hopefully they both do well.

I see it more as Austin and Sanders/Gates. My initial reaction was to lean both receivers.

But to piggyback on that, I am curious what people think about Hopkins this year. I'm being offered him in one 12-team league where I wouldn't mind some WR depth. Is there a comparable RB you would approximate his value around in a PPR league?

Austin. Sanders vs. Gates in the flex . . . I'd go Sanders. SD needs to show they aren't a JV squad at this point. Terrible Oline, terrible DST, terrible fantasy production. Gates is a name. He will have some big games based on targets alone (and the fact that they will most likely be playing from behind all season) but he's just nowhere close to the guy he used to be. Rivers isn't much to write home about, either.

Meh. The #2 WR in a run first offense . . . pass. You're basically comparing a deep bench place holder at WR to a deep bench place holder at RB. Ballard? Someone equally uninspiring? ATM, Hopkins should only be holding a roster spot in the deepest of leagues or keeper leagues.

Making my first bold move and starting Austin over nicks. DT giving me 36 is making me feel more comfortable in doing so.
