Ok I'm getting this from another source because I didn't see the game, evidently he was drunk while watching it..lol
But I guess we couldn't try getting a 1st down to ice the game??

We had no business being in that game the way the Lions moved the ball and controlled our offense.

We were fortunate to get those turnovers and being leading late, and there is no way we should have lost, but we're not a 7-1 team. We haven't beaten a team that had competent QB play, and those teams that have had it, has absolutely scorched us.

I think we'll get to 9-7, who knows, depending on the matchup we may even win a playoff game, but we're a very average team with a head coach who is a terrible game manager and coaches to win/lose close games.

It was 3rd and 14 and they had no timeouts. Either way we should've taken a shot at it on earlier downs instead of running backwards.

Even if we had Ed Reed and Sean Taylor in their primes I'm not sure if we stop that Stafford/Johnson connection.

The bottom line is that our coach gave this game away by not kneeling the ball.

It is obvious though. That having 2 UDFAs as our starting safeties is a recipe for trouble.

and the pass rush is not existent, i know we have no name in there right now, but there is no way any corner in the league can cover megatron 1on1 with no pass rush

the defense played great imo, despite giving up gazillion yards they forced 4 turnovers, and all the offense did was reward our defense by gaining 0 first downs after all the turnovers

to me this game goes on bill callahan and romo. they were way too conservative with the gameplan and conservative checks at the line. this 3 weeks in a row we've played a defense ranked in the 30's and we've stunk it up on offense all 3 weeks.

Everyone stinks against Calvin bro. Stafford is fearless in getting him the ball and he delivers.

I think the coverage assignments on Calvin broke down as well. Sometimes Carr was passing him off in zone and there was no one to pick him up.

I still can't get over the offense though. All those times we kept intercepting the ball I was praying for them to get into the endzone. Had no faith in the offense to punch it in... and sure enough, settling for FGs killed us again.

In comparison, Schwartz went for it on 4th down and got the early TD. Must be nice to have a HC with balls.

Regardless, this team goes nowhere with him at HC, we need a real coach who game plans correctly, uses his players correctly, especially the offensive players. And than maybe you'll see the team win some of these close games.

Callahan is lost too, he needs to go with Garrett.

That's my last straw with Garrett. He drafted all his toys in the draft to put together an offense that is supposed to enforce their will. This season is on him and this loss is on HIM.
Agree 100%. Norm detailed it in the post game. What it boils down to is are you willing to trade 3 points for 40 seconds ? Everyone will always take the 40 seconds in that situation. It would have left them something like 23 seconds to go 50+ yards for the FG.

Listen this team will probably win the division at 8-8 or 9-7 but that will be in spite of Garrett not because of him. He has to go. We'll be one an done and jerry will call that success and keep him.

Let's not rewrite history here. Teams don't take a knee unless by doing so will run out the clock entirely. The Lions had 2 timeouts with what, about 1:25 left? If you'd have taken 3 knees, you'd have left them with approx 40 seconds left, by running 3 plays, you take more time off the clock and leave them in a perfect world with 25 seconds left, give or take.

What most teams are capable of doing is a) move the ball FORWARD in such a situation b) not get a game-altering penalty. We are capable of neither, and that, in addition to employing 2 non-NFL talents at safety and a bunch of no-names at D line, is mostly the reason for this epic loss.

He's tired of losing and tired of being covered 1 on 1 and being ignored for entire halfs. I don't watch game tape and am only going off the Braoadus analysis from DC.com, but apparently Romo had Williams on his fantasy team because he fed him for like 8 targets in the 1st half and virtually ignored Dez even though Dez had single coverage as well.

Dez will take alot of heat for it, but I like guys who hate losing.

Something that hasn't been brought up, how silly does jerrah look AGAIN but saying he was more worried about Bush. haha

What most teams are capable of doing is a) move the ball FORWARD in such a situation b) not get a game-altering penalty. We are capable of neither, and that, in addition to employing 2 non-NFL talents at safety and a bunch of no-names at D line, is mostly the reason for this epic loss.
^^^This. On the money!

Dez will take alot of heat for it, but I like guys who hate losing.

Something that hasn't been brought up, how silly does jerrah look AGAIN but saying he was more worried about Bush. haha
They have no idea how to fully utilize him, if they learn anything from today's game I hope they take something from the way the lions maximize the mismatch their playmaker presents to defenses and try throwing him the ball 10 -12 times a game, covered or not.

you do realize the guys that are in there at both safeties spots and d-line are backups playing b/c injuries

Then when he does and its picked off, people will start yelling Romos not reading the Defense and hes to much of a gunslinger. Its never ending. This team is one dimensional. We cant/wont run the ball and while our O-line is better than last year its still not good. Tell me again why we have no fullback and we used a 2nd round pick on a TE that cant block? Even in the passing game hes a non factor. Was Worford avalible with our 2nd round pick? I know he was starting today for Detroit. IDK...this team always has something thats not right. Its so frustrating!

its more about the mantra of BALANCE that garrett constantly preaches and callahan's conservative influence on romo. "we have confidence in all out guys and we don't to concentrate on just 1 player. we want to spread it out and attack a defense from multiple directions"

just throw dez & witten the damn ball that should be plastered all over the locker room this week
