I agree 100%. I guess we differ on why thats not happening. I still say our lack of success (besides coaching) is on the O-line and our failure to properly upgrade it. Constant pressure and no running game is going to kill drives. No way around it.

We are better at LB and Corner maybe. Haley and Ware are both great. The thing is, is that where 92 is better at than this team in most cases its not even close. On offense all most all of those guys were Pro Bowlers. Some are HOF'ers. The 92 team would blow this team out. Wouldnt be close.
For me-
QB, RB, Oline goes to 92
WR TE to present day
DL to me is close
LB to present day
CB to present day.
Safeties 92'

I got 4 to 3 with one rd even. For 92'

I'm not saying that they'd win in a game, not really about a straight up game.
Just interesting.

Agree on that. We did have amazing depth. So Dline has to go to 92 as well.

Ware (Injured) - Hatcher - Ratliff (Injured then Released)- Spencer (IR)
Wilber - Crawford (IR)- Hayden - Selvie

Plus: Bass (IR) - Lissemore (then Rayford)

Then add: Nevis - Brown - Austin - Jones - Wynn

It's not like we didn't have depth to start the season. We got hit by an absurd injury bug. How many teams are in great shape when their best pass rusher (Ware) or injured, their second best rusher is on IR (Spencer), our backup DE (Crawford) is on IR, our backup BACKUP DE (Bass) is on IR, AND our starting NT (Ratliff) is on IR.

Correct answer: Zero.

Your right we've had a bunch of injuries but Rat shouldnt have been counted on and hasnt been good for a couple of years, we knew Brent wouldnt be back, Ware and Hatcher are studs but the rest of those guys are unproven or guys off the street-Jags? There was some depth but Im not sure how good that depth was. Not good enough to ignore the position IMO. EDIT, I forgot Spencer who might or might not have held up well to switching to DE. Guess we'll never know, just glad he didnt get that long term extension.

We've been going back and forth a lot, but I think one thing that we can agree on is that they should kill the Vikings this upcoming week. If they lose I'm all for firing Garrett on the spot. Sure anything can happen on any given Sunday, but they seriously better not lose this game.

Yeah their QB(s) stink. They dont put up a lot of sacks and thier back 7's not very good. Should be a game we win easily unless AD goes for 200+. Never know what Kiffens going to come up with though

Yeah I see a nice win here, not easily though, they will give us some trouble but our passing game should be the difference, something like 30-20 is my prediction.

Seems we may have another coach/coordinator we have to play in addition to the opposing team.

Unacceptable. If we dont at least make the playoffs this year, Garrett needs to go.

This is what I can see happening.

Jerry: "Jason, there is going to be a lot of pressure on me to fire you."

Jason: "We spoke about this when you stripped me of playcalling. You said that move would keep me on as HC longer because we could blame Callahan and fire him instead. Just like we fired Rob and made him the scapegoat."

Jerry: "Oh yeah. I forgot."

Jason: "Norv is getting fired in Cleveland. Let's get him!"

Jerry: "Sure, as long as he doesn't eat my Papa John's!"

Rob Ryan a scapegoat? ROFL. During his tenure a "turnover" was a food item not a football play.

We'll win this week because we're playing a bad QB.

If you look at the remainder of the schedule, we have 2 games against the best QBs in the game, so those are pretty much losses.

We have 5 games left against QB's that are struggling/and or young (Vikes,Raiders, Giants, Redskins, Eagles). If we can manage 4 wins out of this group, we'll likely win the division.

The Bears game is a wild card as its Monday night in Chicago, against a team that historically just beats us up. Cutler will probably be back, but I'm not sure it matters.

What good are turnovers if your offense doesn't turn them into points and your defense gives up more yardage than any in history? Our defense is ranked dead last and we're an embarrassment.

Hate all you want, Rob's defense and coaching wasn't as bad as what we're seeing now.

But Turnovers! Hooray! This year we have 19 turnovers which is great. Rob and the Saints have 15 but they also had a Bye Week. The difference isn't mind blowing... It's all in the coaching you say? This year's turnover stat margin in comparison doesn't reflect that. Oh and points allowed. NOR has given up 114 to our 186. Even if you factor in the bye that's brutal. Yards allowed... hah... so much worse it isn't even funny.

IRVING, Texas -- Despite a 4-4 record, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said coach Jason Garrett's job status is looking better by the day.

On his twice-a-week radio show, Jones said Friday morning the offseason moves the team made in terms of Garrett getting rid of the play-calling duties and turning into a walk-around coach have benefited the team.

"If I were evaluating the season, looked at it and we're 4-4, this one's over, I would look and see how we got to 4-4," Jones said. "And his arrow would be pointed up.
Huh? Lol you cant make this stuff up!

"I think when I look at where we are or where we can be as a team, then we've definitely benefited from how he is coaching the team as opposed to where he was as coordinator as well as head coach," Jones said. "We've benefited from that. Now, we're 4-4. It looks like we're in a rut. But when I look at how close those games have been, then I can see it could've been better than 4-4. That's the way I would look at it if this were it."
Does this make sense, or is it just me?

Jerry really shouldn't be saying things during the season.
