Luckily the bye week is next week with Lee being out 3-4 weeks.

Here we go again, it makes you wonder why some players are just so prone to injury while others aren't. I understand the game and how it leads to injuries at times but it seems some players just can't stay healthy for very long.

You have the Sean Lee, Demarco Murray, Morris Claiborne, Miles Austin types and then there are players that are out there year in an year out like Witten and Ware(aside from recently) who are becoming more and more of a rarity.

Total.Embarrassment. We are still setting records for futility and it appears the players have thrown in the towel on Garrett. Remember when we were 1-6 and GB kicked the crap out of us? Feels much the same. Records not as bad but it seems the players are questioning our staff.

Albert Einstein defined insanity as "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." As Cowboys fans know, it is also what tortures you.

As a master analyst and troubleshooter once shared with me, "when looking at a problem you must identify the root cause. Otherwise you spend your time working with symptoms. If you get caught up with that you will never get the actual issue addressed." If you accept that as a working theory and apply it to the Dallas Cowboys the singular constant that stands out is Jerry Jones the GM's performance and Jerry Jones the Owner's refusal to address it. That primary cause affects every aspect of the Cowboys in a trickle down effect.

Some folks on here dont like to blame JJ and claim JG's drafts have been wonderful. Yet 3 years into this JG is 21-21 and his drafts have produced ZERO Pro Bowlers. Hes drafted 1 Guard, whos no longer on the team, 1 DT, whos no longer on the team, 4 WRs, 3 RBs, 7 DBs, 4 of which are no longer on the team or havent played a down for us. We have no Full Back because we spent premium draft picks to run the 12 personnel, then we dont run the 12 personnel or dont play the guys we spent the premium picks on. Its INSANE. We have no identity. Last night was the first night in I dont know how long, that I had to turn the game off at halftime. FORTY first downs?!!! 600+ yards?!!! 49 points?!!! What a joke. JJ has killed this once proud franchise. Its a shame.

If you draft injury prone College guys, why would it be different in the NFL?

Fire em all (Garrett, Callahan, kiffin) now this week and lets promote some guys like marinelli to interim HC/DC and promote Dooley to OC, can't be any worse than Callahan/Garrett. Or go hire Lovie Smith or do nothing and watch as we blow the chance to win the division. Not that I think we'd have any chance in the playoffs anyway, not with these guys calling the offense and defense.

There is talk Kiffen might step down in the next 48 hours. If I was Garrett and my job is on the line, I'd take over play calling. Couldnt be any worse. JJ's not going to fire anybody, he see's a 1st place team. He cant/wont recognize hes the problem.

Damn. Durant is going to miss 3-4 weeks as well. It's not as big of a blow because he didn't play much due to all the Nickel and Dime schemes, but he's a much better option than Ernie Sims. Hopefully Holloman is back from his neck injury because I'd rather see him than Sims. At least if he's getting burned it's a learning lesson. With Sims it's a lost cause that only got some breathing room because he wasn't absolutely terrible coming off the street last year. Holloman may have a future, so here's to hoping that he's healthy after the bye week.

We need to fire our entire coaching staff and offer this man the head coaching gig.

Question for you pocketaces. Do you think this team will ever have a chance as long as Jerry Jones is alive?

^^^It's amusing as hell to me seeing people rail against Jerry.

You have a decision...you can become a fan of another team, or freaking live with knowing Jerry is going to be Jerry.

Stop complaining about something that won't change.

Players Change, Coaches Changes...Jerry won't.

Leave it alone.

If he hires a coach that will have control of ALL personnel moves, wont put up with his meddling, ala going down to the sidelines, talking to the press about everything, patting the guys on the back after a close loss, ect ect. We all know thats not going to happen though, right? When Parcells left, JJ was quoted as saying "now we can start having fun again" Even if we are winning its not "fun" to JJ unless hes getting ALL the credit. Do you think there is one guy in that locker room thats afraid of losing his job? No. Everybody is comfortable except the coaches because JJ will have to find a scapegoat. Crazy Al Davis won a SB so its not impossible but unless he hires a coach that will put the fear of God into these guys and has a plan on how he wants to run things and has a true talent for running the draft, I dont think we'll sustain long term success. Do I think we'll ever win big with a puppet head coach? No I dont. Do you?

Yeah, no question. I think we can win with Jerry. IMO, he hardly makes any decisions that matter any more.

I got no problem if he were to go down on the sidelines. It's an act that forces accountability which we totally lack right now. I wish he would've gone down there yesterday.

I guess I got my answer though. Bad news is we'll have to deal with your constant Jerry bashing the same way we had to deal with Bob's constant Jerry bashing.

Next question. When Jerry dies how are you hoping that things change?

Kinda like your Romo bashing and Rob Ryan is a god rants? Seems we all have opinions and/or agendas. If we can win with JJ, how come we havent done it since Jimmy left? 18 years hasnt given him enough time? What accountability does JJ provide by going down to the sidelines? He looks like a fool. Suddenly players are going to play harder because he showed up? They dont care! Hes not holding any player responsible.

I guess. If all you want to hear is homerism.

I juess I just dont understand why its ok to bash on Romo, Garrett, Callahan, Kiffen, schemes, draft picks, contracts, Safetys, line play, ect ect but JJ is off limits? Makes no sense. You act like Im a bad guy or a villian for not being happy with being a .500 franchise and am unhappy with our GM. I probably blame him to much and you probably dont blame him enough. Difference of opinions. We all LOVE our team, just dont agree on what the problem(s) is/are.

My posts were based on the Saints not being that great(I don't believe they are). At this point there's just too many injuries to overcome on defense. I figured Rod/Kiff could continue to mask the stink.

It didn't happen, they got exposed. It's not homerism...The team is mediocre...I'm not confused about that, I've ranted many times.

Ranting about Jerry every week is the definition of insanity though. It's like D-Unit ranting about Romo, except his Romo rants are usually based on something tangible.Whereas you make up a bunch of **** about Jerry walking down to the field being a huge problem for the team.

It's stupid. He's not going anywhere. Stop it.

So I should stop ranting about JJ, all the while you rant on the team HE assembled? Lol OoooooooooooK/ I guess you missed the games against Denver, Detroit, San Diego where we got exposed as well? Picking us to beat the Saints on the road was a homer pick. Just own it.

Sure it was...but it wasn't just that.

I just don't understand the railing against Jerry every week. Because there's nothing you can do about him except hope he brings in the people that can assemble and coach a winning team. I don't get what you don't understand?

You're perfectly in your right to be a fan of another team.

They are the ones either on the field or calling the shots!

Jerry hardly does anything! I think the only thing he really does is hire the HC. Other than that, he's just the one cutting checks and talking to the media. I'll join in on bashing him on trades gone bad cause I think he has a bigger hand in that.

But if the team isn't playing up to their potential or making the right kind of roster moves then I'm blaming the guys who are directly responsible for that. Namely the QB, the Coaching staff and the Scouts.

Jerry is just a puppet GM. The guys doing the heavy lifting are Stephen, Ciskowski and his staff and Garrett and his staff.

...and I'm sorry... but if Romo is just not gonna have any guts in throwing Dez the ball if he appears bracketed, then I'm knocking him for that. Calvin Johnson gets bracketed, AJ Green gets bracketed... somehow Stafford and Dalton find ways to get them the ball. Plus, Romo has a lot more freedom to run plays on the field this season so if the offense is struggling he gets a larger part of the blame than in the past. That said, I haven't been too upset with Romo this season. I've been more happy than mad. He just needs to show me more guts (without being stupid). Maybe that's an impossible task to ask for.. but yea. He's at his greatest when he's playing with courage and smarts.

And JJ hired them all...Its funny that you say we can win with JJ, then say hes a puppet GM. You dont see a problem with that huh? Apperently all those other people you named arent doing their jobs, so whos job is it to replace those other people? Do you have confidence that they would be replaced with better people? How come successful people come here and fail? How come we havent won under JJ since jimmy left?

Jeff Sullivan ‏@SullyBaldHead 9m
The discussion tomorrow at Valley Ranch is quite simple: Who calls the plays for the remainder of the year. My guess: Garrett and Marinelli.

Wonder what that would mean for Kiffen and Callahan? Cant get any worse so its worth a try. Garrett's gotta believe his job is on the line.
