Firing head coach will allow you to talk with anyone who is available for that vacancy. Texans want to start to proceed the head coach search now.

Josh McDaniels can be stubborn at times about things that aren't working, but overall I'm very happy with him. Seventh, first, eighth, first, and (thus far) sixth in points per game. When your offense finishes in the top ten with Matt Cassel as your quarterback and Sammy Morris at running back, you're doing pretty good.

Pass first offense always sucks when it comes to fans. Don't waste your time trying to refute against it.

PFT reporting that Shanahan almost quit the Redskins back in January because of RGIII, is likely to be fired this season:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ns-in-january/

Kind of funny how RGIII, who everyone loved as a person before the draft, turned out to be a coach-killer. Also, fun fact: Mike Shanahan has won only one playoff game since winning the Super Bowl following the 1998 season.

Before the year began I called RG3 fake and most people here killed me for it. You could always tell he was a diva.

To be fair, it sounds more like his problem is with how the franchise is favoring RG3.

While I am pathetically waiting for Jets game, I fool around with head coaching vacancies.

Jets - Unlikely due to anemic offense being noticed before this year.
Bills - Unlikely due to rookie.
Steelers - Unlikely due to the owner.
Browns - Unlikely due to rookie.
Titans - Possibly. Threat is out now.
Jaguars - Unlikely due to rookie and rebuilding mode.
Texans - Done.
Chargers - Unlikely due to rookie.
Raiders - No idea. Brother is no difference from the late brother.
Giants - Unlikely due to expecting rebound.
Redskins - Definitely.
Packers - Unlikely due to expecting rebound.
Vikings - Possibly unless QB is resolved.
Bucs - Unlikely. One more chance.
Falcons - Unlikely due to having bad season for first time in career.
Rams - Unlikely.

4 so far for me.

Texans - Ken Whisenhurst. The owner wants veteran HC. he has 3-4 background.

Titans- Jay Gruden. I think it is the time for Jay to try out at next level.

Redskins- Mike Zimmer. Same as Gruden.

Vikings - Lovie Smith. NFCN Familiarity with HC experience.

Also, I'd say it's far more than likely that Munchak, Schiano, and Frazier are all gone. I can't for the life of me imagine why Frazier would be back.

Texans looking at Whisenhunt.
If hired, I think we can pencil Clowney at #1.

Hmmm, LaCanfora suggested that RG3 might vouch for Briles if Shanahan is gone.

My guess is having RGIII involved in any decision making is probably not a good idea. If it were me i'd trade him.

Might be a little too soon to give up on him now. He shouldn't have input on the next coach, though.

Didn't Briles just sign that huge deal to stay at Baylor?

The behavior of both Griffin and even Johnathan Martin makes me wonder if we are going to be experiencing yet a new type of spoiled, soft, pampered athlete - that of the millennial generation.

Jay Gruden is his son who is the offensive coordinator in Cincinatti. John Gruden is the analyst at espn.
