@Babylon Mariota being favored by one particular team because of their particular offense and coach doesn't make him a better QB prospect. I'd still argue that they'd be better off taking Bridgewater.

As for Bortles I agree that he's being overlooked by a lot of people and I like him a lot as a prospect but I don't think he's on Bridgewater's level.

It's hard to say much about the competition level argument other than to point out the Florida game like you did. We're going to have to wait until he actually makes it to the NFL before we see him play top competition on a weekly basis but from what I've seen I like his chances of succeeding.

@bamafalcon I agree and I think it was his lack of weapons that caused people to overreact to his INT #s as it was more of a case of him needing to force things but I think there were real concerns about his decision making and that stuff scares me a lot more than any concerns I have about Bridgewater.

Bridgewater will most likely go before Bortles, doesn't mean he'll have a better pro career.

Well of course that's true. When I say he's the #1 pro prospect that doesn't mean he's necessarily going to be the best pro. It just means he has the best tools at the moment to translate to the NFL. If Russell Wilson has a better pro career than Andrew Luck is anyone going to argue that Wilson was the better prospect coming out?

Scouting and drafting players is never an exact science. You use logic and past experiences to try to give yourself the best chance to succeed but there are way too many unknown variables that can cause even the most sure thing to bust.

Has anyone heard what Hundley is intending to do? I believe he would contend to be the 2nd QB drafted along with Bortles, Carr, Manziel and McCarron.

My guess is with Mora staying Hundley will follow suit. Not sure how much he can improve his stock by coming back because he'll still be behind Winston and Mariota next year. I think he'll come back though.

Hundley is talking about leaving Ucla. I don't why, he's not ready. Right now he's a late first rounder early second rounder. I hope he stays one more year cause Ucla is going to be very good next year.

Hundley could certainly drop in the draft. Leaving as early as he would be and not looking anything like a finished product will give a lot of executives cold feet.

He's got late first to late second written all over him. Going to need a lot of time to develop, though the raw potential is obviously there. Can't take him early in the first, but maybe a team drafting late will think he's worth the pick.

I don see him getting out of the top 20, there is so many teams that could use a QB that teams won't want to wait in the draft for 1. If Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder can go high, Hundley can too

If the pros believe Hundley has a pro arm, he'll go high in the draft visa vi Tannehill. Tannihill was as raw as it gets but he had a strong arm and plenty of upside and he went in the top 10. Going back to school gains you nothing from a pro perspective, the pros would rather get their hands on Hundley now and start training him under their coaches to be a pro QB. Rawness doesn't drop you very far if you have talent and upside.
It will simply come down to how much potential the pros think Hundley has.

I think he will go in the first round, but no shot he is the top dog.
