Also interesting in that he had but three catches as a freshman.

Penn State's pass attack has been a deep bomb down the sidelines or little out pattern. They never threw over the middle of the field. Great to see Robinson emerge. If anyone wants a little background on him. He went to the same high school in Michigan as Rob Bolden but was a year behind him. He's a 2nd year soph. No red-shirt. Kyle Carter looks pretty good as a move te too. Redshirt frosh. I think both need to get stronger though.

Robinson is still very young. I believe he was 16 by the time he graduated. Him taking strides is no surprise. He was one of the best WRs on the team as a true freshman.

Overall, a pretty impressive season. The best WR in the B1G. His ability to go up and get the ball is as impressive as anyone that I've seen. I don't know enough about route running to be able to say if he is a good route runner or not, but I could see Robinson going in the top 2 rounds if he keeps this up whenever it is that he comes out.

He's good, but really inconsistent with his pass catching.

Robinson has consistency issues, but he improved a lot in that department as the season progressed. But yes, before he can move up a rung from "good" to "great" he needs to be more consistent.

Anymore opinions on this guy? I'm hoping the 49ers will be in position to take him with their first selection.

I was hoping he would be there at pick #34. Probably very little chance of that if he blazes his 40 at the combine.

Big fan of Robinson, he has the big play ability with good size and speed to create mismatches on the field. If he is there at the top of the 2nd round I'd love to see him in Oakland

Do yourselves a favor and find out how many yards he gets after the catch. Matt Waldman has a piece about that.

I went to Penn State the last three years. Watching him grow has been great. Any time the ball was in the air, you felt good he was going to come down with it

Theres just a stigma i cant get past with penn state offensive players. Its unreal how little success theyve had with offense over the last decade. Williams, Norwood, and Butler flopped, Tony Hunt flopped, Levi Brown and AQ Shipley flopped, Evan Royster flopped.

Who were their last successes? Larry Johnson? Bryant Johnson? Seems like forever ago.

I do like robinson though, nice vision and after the catch ability for a guy his size.

What exactly is a flop? Other than Levi Brown, none of those guys was a high draft pick, and Butler was starting to carve out a career when he had that devastating leg injury.

But yes, Penn State players on offense haven't traditionally found much success. Granted, that was in the Paterno era that never really stressed offense.

Thankfully things have changed. It's no surprise that in one year of Bill O'Brien, he put an otherwise discarded QB in the NFL. He's putting Robinson in the league after he was an afterthought by the previous staff.

Going forward things look much better.

With the exception of Brown, however, I would say Penn St players in recent memory that looked good in college in general have looked good in the pros. They seem to translate very well.

Could happen as a result of this very strong WR class, but I have him as a 1st RD talent. The only player in the draft with a better combination of RAC and the ability to high point the ball is Sammy Watkins.

Was not expecting to like him but I did. He's a very unique player. His game definitely translates to the pro's because he's got a special blend of size/quickness. He could be a good slot WR. His lack of ideal speed is obvious when you watch him on vertical routes but he should be able to get separation because he's fairly explosive and has terrific quickness out of breaks for his size.

Definitely worth a pick in the second round. He's unique but I thought of a slower Nicks, TO, and a little of Boldin when I watched him play. Pure football player.

I watched four games and didn't really see any drops... not sure if he had many.

Unfortunately he didn't really have a great combine. From what we've seen on tape he looks pretty good.

He didn't have a great 40. He showed a lot of explosion on the jumps, had a top short-shuttle, and a good 10-yard split. He's not a burner deep threat and he doesn't really run by people on tape so it wasn't expected. Yes, a 4.55 would have been better but he didn't have a bad showing when you take into account everything else.

I like him a lot, he had to put up with a freshman QB his last season and the guy had trouble putting the ball where any WR could catch it, his throws were all over the place but Robinson still put up excellent stats and I think he will be a solid pro. Any other year and he'd be a lead cinch to be a first rounder, but this draft is so deep at WR and with its overall strength, that he could easily slip to round 2 or he could slip into late round 1, if some team falls in love.

When we all look back on this draft, there will be WR's who go in round 2, who will be stars, I have no doubt about it and there will be round 1 WR's who maybe don't quite reach their potential, that's how tight this group of WR's is. Any team drafting late in this draft, should be taking a close look at WR's, there is tremendous value there for a late round 1 pick.

I still have Robinson as a 2nd round grade, with the depth of this class though don't be surprised to see him at the top of the 3rd.

Just for my own piece of mind I'd love to see Robinson run in the 4.4s at PSU's pro day, in case the Redskins take him at #34.
