Default Eagles beginning their Golden Era?

The Eagles have been among the more respected teams in the league despite never winning a SB in their franchise history. However, I think they are about to end that within the next 5 years. The arrival of Chip Kelly has meant so much to them this year. He really has brought a successful formula to the league. This is not a gimmick that will come and go like the wildcat. I have a real hunch that this team is about to enter an era of success never seen before in Philadelphia.

It sucks as a non-Eagles fan so I hope I'm wrong... but they look damn dangerous.

Prior to two weeks ago I would have said yes. To me it is an issue if the defense can keep up with the offense. I mean they gave up a million points to the Vikings last week but yesterday they completely locked down the Bears 3rd ranked scoring offense.

I'm not so sure about that. I guess it will depend on Foles. I'm not sure what to make of him at this point even though he's playing great.

Year 2 is more important than anything to this conversation. A lot of teams/players have looked amazing and on the brink of epic success only for the sophomore slump. Defenses take a year to catch up as well. Next year Foles & company will be facing defenses with a year's worth of tape and an entire off-season to analyze them.

Best example would another division rival. The Redskins looked destined for massive success after their offensive explosion last year and yet they are in the cellar with 3 wins and starting their backup QB over their savior.

As Bill Parcells would say, "We've got a ways to go here. So put away the anointing oil".

Not going to lie though the Eagles are looking REALLY good in their first year under Kelly.

Exactly, the wild cat looked to be unstoppable at one point. Lets see what Defensive coordinators cook up after a offseason watching the tube. I will say that their tempo does cause communication disruption when defenses have make playcalls without a huddle.
