The Iron Bowl is defintely one of the top rivalries in sports. It is one of the only rivalries I've ever seen that is 365 days a year. Probably because Alabama has nothing else but every day the front cover of the local paper sports page is Alabama or Auburn football, even in June. As soon as you move there, you are expected to choose sides.
As for me, I grew up as a semi-Bama fan. My grandfather graduated from there and my mom was born in Tuscaloosa. Unfortunately, Alabama fans are the worst of the worst. So after living in Bama for three years, I went from Alabama being my 6th favorite team to absolutely hating them.
Brilliant letting one of Scott Pioli's henchmen have his own team to ruin. One of the premier GM jobs in the NFL and it gets handed to a stupid **** who makes three facepalm moves for every good one. Awesome. Just like handing a new Mercedes to a 16 year old girl who's already been in three wrecks.
Although Florida State, barely, ended the state of Alabama's run of titles, these 2 teams deserve their own thread.
Especially considering how great their game was this year in the Iron Bowl.
A few hilarious ones here, although quite a few hillbilly rednecks here who don't seem to know what the hell is happening.
And too many screams from females who don't know anything either.
How do these 2 programs look heading into next season?
Alabama will be breaking in a new QB but outside of that they reloaded pretty well. Auburn needs to replace Mason's play making abilities at running back but outside of that I also expect them to be a top 10 team.
