Taking a shot at Blackmon would give them a shot at having someone who could develop into a great player. The 2nd round pick, while a valuable asset will unlikely be the difference between a SB or not whereas Blackmon absolutely could in the off chance he doesn't get suspended again.

The Jaguars on the other hand are pretty much awful at almost every position, and need picks to rebuild the roster. They're 1 year away from having to choose whether to exercise his option or not. If they choose not to they could very well end up losing him anyways
I agree with the theory. They could use a high end talent. I think Blackmon is a poor gamble though and that price is too high. Blackmon can't stay on the field for one reason or another.

Too low. He'd get at least a 6th.

Seriously? What team would want to trade anything for Blaine Gabbert? Lol, next thing you'll be telling me they're gonna trade anything for Jonathan Martin.

That's just crazy talk.

They might as well bring in Tebow.

They are turning into a circus.

San Francisco: Where last place in the NFC West happens. The Cards and Rams will pass them this year.

Arizona Cardinals trade a third-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys for CB Morris Claiborne. Cardinals have shown interest in Mike Jenkins this offseason, need a man-coverage cornerback to play opposite Patrick Peterson. Claiborne's not a scheme fit in Dallas anymore and would fit well with fellow Tigers Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu.

What makes you think that Gabbert riding the bench and Martin being a swing tackle will make that team worse?

While I think they'd want at least a 2nd, I think the Cowboys dealing Claiborne makes sense. They don't maximize his value and they have more pressing needs elsewhere.
