This subject deserves it's own thread. I know he's talented, I know he's likely going to be good for a long time and on top of that has a chance to be one of the best players ever. That being said, he's getting WAY to much credit for the success Indianapolis is having and he's not taking NEARLY ENOUGH blame for the failures they've had.

I'm also not impressed by the player who throws 4 interceptions and puts their team into a 20+ point hole and then climbs his way out of it before the final whistle. Eventually this probably won't be the circumstance of every great game he plays, but for now it's a little underwhelming.

The Colts won two games the year before he got there. They've won 11 both seasons with him as a starter. He cut his turnovers in half this season, a pretty good show of progression. He has a poor running game, a pretty bad offensive line, and played most of the season with TY Hilton as his top receiver. The fact that people are complaining about Colts failures (yeah, because losing in the second round of the playoffs in your second season is totally a failure) is absolutely ridiculous.

Luck wasn't the only thing that changed about the Franchise from 2011 to 2012. If you're giving him credit for 9 wins, then you and I are seeing things completely differently.

And losing any game is a failure. I don't want to get into a debate over semantics because they are generally meaningless and a large waste of time, but if you have a goal and you don't achieve it then you have failed. In the case of losing the second round of the playoffs, this can both simultaneously be a success and a failure (the individual game being a failure, the overall season being a success).

Alex Smith is a significantly worse quarterback than Romo and Ryan. Griffin and Bradford were also too low.
