Nice grab Diab. Hope to see that around me in the next couple of weeks.

Had Stone Go to IPA for 1st time this weekend. It's aptly names and can't believe it's only 4.5%.

The Enjoy By 4.20.14 is 9.7% (iirc) but the aggressive hops diminish the boozy taste so much that I didn't even notice it. So far, the Enjoy By's have been my favorite IPAs, a style I usually don't enjoy that much.

Lagunitas Imperial Stout...meh. I've had better. Great Lakes Black Out Stout and Two Brothers North Wind were much better imperial stouts that I have had recently.

If anyone has the chance...ever...visit Bent River or pick up Bent River Uncommon Stout. It is a Mid-West Beer and they brew out of the Iowa/Illinois Border Towns (Quad Cities). Worth a try!

No idea which of my friends acquired that one. It was ******* good, though. Most of my friends do a lot of trading. I don't stockpile enough to trade.

Having a Schmidt for the first time, and am pretty sure it's the best yard beer I've had.

Not a huge IPA fan, but had the Flying Dog Mango Habanero IPA last night. Was absolutely delicious.

Two beers this weekend

This was rather good if you like Centennial hops. The Flavor wore on me after the second or third glass (at 10% it was hard to keep track) The lemon peel zest was refreshing but not overpowering. Overall rather good.

AND

This is a really weird one if you don't like Reds then stay away like the plague. This is a beer I didn't like all that much at first but as the night went on and the beer warmed a bit the flavor grew on me.

I really hate it when beer stores keep their beer for years then put it "on sale" when they should have disposed of it two parts of my mixer sixer are drain pours.

Drinking a Harpoon Chocolate stout. Average at best. It's not chocolaty enough to be a nice sweet dessert beer and not particularly successful as a plain stout either.

Tastes just like the Deep Ellum IPA but much more hoppier. Also, it's 8.5%.

I had the game of thrones red too and I felt the exact same way. I hated it on the first sip and then the flavor really grew on my palate. I'm not sure I have ever had a red or any other beer that was anything like this. The spiciness (apparently it was brewed with ancho chiles as per the label)was really intriguing in a hard to explain way and offered a really unique flavor. It definitely made me interested in trying the other game of thrones brews. Overall it had a unique flavor and it was an enjoyable experience.

Grabbed one of these the other night. It was a really nice flavor. I think Passion fruit could be the next big thing in beer. This is the second passion fruit beer I've had one was a pilsner the other an IPA both worked really well.

Whats wrong with fruit beer? Why are some people such snobs? I don't dislike any type of beer because I think any style can be executed properly. I don't customarily like IPAS, but that doesn't mean I'm going to completely dismiss them.

Often, fruit beers have fruity flavoring that tastes really synthetic or even medicinal which is really unpleasant. But there are some very delicious fruit beers.

Im aware im just randomly butting into a thread ive basically never been in, but ive been drinking a lot of beer since passover ended so Im getting into the fray for at least a small moment.

Some fruit beer is fine, but I do think it misses more than it hits. Placing actual fruit in the beer though is always terrible.

I was speaking as an added ingredient as oppose to being a base for a beer.
