Im still in shock over this contract. Especially after he didnt even play last season with a serious injury. For the Nuggets sake I hope Nene turns into a 15 & 10 guy.

more like a 5 year 64m.

it's a much better deal than re-signing k-mart would've been. hell, they could've given nene 24 million dollars a year and it would've been better than giving martin a ten dollar bill.

Yea, big men are overpaid. But since K-mart has been such a disruptive force, and because Nene has so much potential, that is why he got the money. Whether you believe it or not, if Nene did not receive that offer from us, MANY other teams would've given him that money.

5 years 11 Million.
That should be more than enough for Nene who is pretty much a non factor in most games.

he's 23 and spent all of last year injured. weird that he's not the best player in the NBA already.

Don't ever compare Nene to Dalembert again. Nene doesn't have attitude problems.

he's 23. i mean, clearly most people know the future prospects of every nba player at that age, but maybe the nuggets feel like he can improve. maybe most teams felt similarly, given that the nuggets likely didn't just randomly give him a mega deal unprovoked.
but hey. he might as well retire tomorrow.

You know that if the Nuggets didn't give him that money, another team would've right? It's not like th eNugs only fel that way about him, but most teams in the nba did as well =/

Isn't Sheldon Williams like a year older than this guy and Nene has been playing in the like for the past 4 seasons.
