Pistons fans: Jason Terry and Maurice Ager(Michigan State) for Chauncey Billups. Do you bite?

Magic should forget all the big named FA's this year. No one fits.
Billups - not going anywhere
Carter - getting old fast, lacks leadership, and will cost us Darko (supposedly)
Lewis - Pushes Ariza down the depth chart. Between Hedo and Turk, we are sufficient.
The core of the team is Howard, Milicic and Ariza. We need to continue to build around that. Turk and Redick are also keepers.
The guy we should really go for in FA is PG Mo Williams.

That would be the worst thing ever.
And D, another small PG that can't play defense and shoots a lot? Really?

I like how you put Michigan State next to Ager, trying to draw us in or something. I don't think the Pistons can lose afford to lose a big free agent two years in a row.

Mo Williams is one of the best all around PG's in the NBA.

I think he's much better suited as a 6th man than as a starting PG. He's a an average to just about solid starting PG, but he's a very good 6th man.

I haven't seen a Bucks game since the last time they were in the playoffs. From his stat sheet, Mo looked pretty decent to me.

Nets need a low post scorer, and a possible replacement for VC to compete with Antoine Wright. Tiago Splitter is an option or Jason Smith, or even Avis Wyatt. As far as a SG one of these are bound to drop to them:
-Derrick Byars(aka next Dwade)
-Nick Young
-Daequan
-Belinelli
-Rudy Fernandez
-Marcus Williams-Would be neat to have 2 Marcus Williams.

Why can't they sign a big name FA, resign Darko if they are willing to pay the luxury tax? Devos said the luxury tax isn't an issue.

Sam Vincent signed on with the Bobcats...
No team wants to pay the luxury tax and regardless of what he said, I dont see the Magic becoming one of those teams. It's gonna be difficult to keep Darko and sign a prominent FA... Apparently, there is not a lot of interest in Hedo out there (7 million) and that could be a probelm because, we're going to need to unload Hedo and Dooling, if we have any chance at making a serious offer to say Rashard Lewis or Vince Carter. It's going to take some creative numbers work... hopefully, we could get something done.... My biggest fear is that we go into next year with the same damn team, minus Grant Hill....eww.

Other than Billups, there is no other prominent FA that would be worth signing a max contract to.

It's just the same image of Heath Ledger as the Joker repeated, which was just recently released.

I say he deserves a contract similar to Rip Hamilton or Tayshaun Prince. Not the max, but about 3-4M less per year.

Like I said before... pretty much if we sign a big name FA... Darko or Hedo is gone...more than likely Hedo at least i hope.

Eh I think he deserves a bit more. He's basically Charlotte's franchise player and he's still only about 24, and one of the most gifted perimeter defenders in the league. He still isn't a great scorer but he can average around 20 PPG in the coming years and that certainly deserves at least a contract like Andrei Kirilenko's.

Getting rid of Darko would be a big mistake. He's quickly coming into form. Plus, his ability to block shots should not be underestimated.

I agree... I want to keep Darko... and I want to see his role expanded... Brian Hill wouldnt let him out of the paint...idiotic considering he has 3 point range...
