So this is just a proposed deal or has it actually been accepted by the teams?
As a Pacers fan, it makes us worse in the immediate future but gives us the building blocks to be a contender in a few years.

No. He didn't even entertain the thought this year. he kind of dropped off and was exposed as a one dimensional player.

I would love to see the Pacers line-up something like this:
PG: Marquis Daniels
SG: Danny Granger / Mike Dunleavy
SF: Lamar Odom / Shawne Williams
PF: Ike Diogu / Troy Murphy
C: Andrew Bynum / David Harrison

Pacers and Celtics get shafted IMO. Odom can't really stay healhy and Bynum is hit or miss. O'Neal can't stay healthy either and they give up the #5.
Lakers and Minnesota make out like bandits. Ainge and the Pacers GM should be shot if they do this trade IMO.

Are you serious? Pacers get Odom who is younger and a comparable player to O'Neal in terms of star power. Plus, they get one of the best big man prospects in the NBA In Bynum.

Even though he is capable, playing Marquis at the point doesn't seem ideal to me. In his time in dallas he showed signs of being a good distributer here and there, but he made alot of bad decisions. And granger is much better at the 3 then 2. If anything you guys are stacked at SF. Tradeable pieces for a real PG.

Yeah, I think the only way that trade could've possibly have happened, would have been if LA would've thrown in Farmar to Boston...granted Boston felt that Farmar would be a good fit there.

I think with Odom on the court the Pacers could get away with using Daniels as a PG. Just run the ball through Odom and let him be the creator/distributor on most plays.
Obviously the Pacers would be extremely stacked at SF though with the addition of Odom (Granger/Odom/Williams at the very least) so they would likely look to move one of them. PG is obviously a big need as nobody on the roster appears to be sticking around for the long term.

also, it wouldn't be bad if the 19th pick went to boston and then boston in turn just returned the future pick minny owes them.

I say the Wolves and Lakers just trade KG and KB to the Heat and all their young talent not named Wade and Wright, and take our next 10 draft picks, 12 if u include this year, and call it a deal.

College success doesn't guarantee NBA success. I give you example a & b:
A) Christian Laettner
B) Grant Hill
The prosecution rests.
And Moses is right, Oden is more NBA ready.

Grant hill was great player for awhile before the injury. But it is true about Duke players in the NBA. Alot of them fade into obscurity.

Uh, how long have you been watching the NBA? Grant Hill was amazing before his injuries. Most crowned him as the next Jordan.

He's unguardable because he can simply shoot over most 3's that guard him, and even post some up. (He does have a nice assortment of post moves). If they stick a 4 on him, he'll be able to take them to the perimeter where they can't guard him.
As mismatches go, he's similar to Dirk. And with Ray Allen along side him(assuming that's where he goes) teams won't be able to focus defensively on him.

So you're saying Durant is not as good a pro prospect as these two? Grant Hill pre-injury was nasty.

Durant is not playing the 4 in the NBA. He's a 2 or a 3, preferably a 3.
