JoeMontainya needs more cowbell.
Default Donovan McNabb

What is his status?

Will he be ready by the season opener? What % will he be at by then? And where is he at currently after his injury from last season.

Will he put up the same fantasy numbers without Stallworth? How is Reggie Brown coming? What do you fans exspect out of him?

thanks in advance and good luck on your season.

McNabb is playing in TC. He's not 100%, but he's in good shape and lost some weight this offseason. He likely won't play much in the first pre-season game, but expect him to start the year. I don't expect him to be fully healthy at all this season. Maybe max of 90%. McNabb claims he is 80% now. I would estimate he's at 75% or so, but improving. Word out of camp recently is that he has really come on lately.

I'm not worried about the loss of Stallworth. McNabb put up ridiculous numbers both with and without Stallworth. The team added Kevin Curtis in the offseason. Jason Avant is apparently a beast in the slot for the team, plus there's Hank Baskett and Greg Lewis in the mix.

Reggie Brown is in his third season in this system. He and McNabb have a solid rapport. I'm not sure what you expect from him, but 60-70 catches isn't out of the question. TD's and passes will be spread around.

5 looks good. Mind you, he usually looks good in TC. I was really happy to see him plant and cut on his bad knee the other day. Like bsaza said, 75-80% now, 90ish later.

McNabb made NFC title games with Todd Pinkston, Fredex Mitchell and James Thrash. He'll be fine. Stallworth was good but he wasn't that good. Reggie Brown is looking excellent this season. He's progressed nicely over the course of his first two years, and this is going to be a breakout year. That being said, I tend to avoid Eagle wideouts in fantasy. Everything is spread out.

I'm expecting pretty high numbers from him this year. Like Bzasa said Brown is in his 3rd year in the league, which sometimes means breakout year if the circumtances are good, which they are. From what I've heard Brown has looked good. I expect Kevin Curtis to replace Stallworth's long completion and will probably get fantasy points in bunches. Depending on how many teams in your league Curtis could be a solid backup.

And back to McNabb, if he stayed healthy last year he was on pace to have an excellent year, and if I remember correctly the eagles offense was in the top 3 before the Titans game.

The profootball prospectus actually ranks McNabb higher than Peyton. (it is a computer though, based on many weird stats)

The Packers have a good defense and the game is in Lambeau. Don't write them off just because Favre will throw 3 picks :) We'll win, but it will be close.

I see no reason to throw Donovan out there when he's still rehabbing. He appears to have had an excellent camp and is really just getting back. It's a huge risk to have him out there. The guy will be in game shape when the season starts. Let's give Holcomb an extended tryout to get more trade value for him.

Donovan will start the season, but it is hard to predict how he will play. The way I see it, he will either start off at and MVP-like pace to get everyone to stop doubting him, or will start slow and get better as the year progresses. I would say he is at about 80% now, and could work his way up to the low 90% range by December. I expect him to have a great season through and through, but only time and luck will tell.
