even though it's considered a a children's-young adult's book, The Giver is still my favorite and I think it deals with some pretty heavy themes that would be overlooked by younger children. I have read it several times beginning when i was about 10 and just finished it again a couple months ago and it gets better everytime and I catch new things, I'm 22 now by the way.

Seriously the fact that you don't even try to make yourself more intelligent especially if you're in High School or College is a sad, sad thing.

Ambler Warning is a great book. Can't think of the author, but it has a REAL shocking ending...

Robert Ludlum, and the ending to the book that follows that, The Bancroft Strategy, has a killer ending.

Messenger by Lois Lowry is pretty much the sequel to The Giver, it takes place 7 years after the orginal events and includes the baby, Jonas and Gabriel. Also there are some references to The Giver in Gathering Blue, also by Lowry. Both books are similar and are very good as well.

Because reading a book is the only way to make yourself more intelligent? :/
I'm reading The Stolen Child by Keith Donohue. It's a relatively easy read so far, not really interesting to me though.
