I don't care if it's against Pepperdine, Washington is looking nasty. Quincy Pondexter and Jon Brockman are men amongst boys. Oh and Hawes seems to be back earlier than at least I expected. Nasty.

Keep an eye on 5-6 freshman guard Tajuan Porter. He was Malik Hairston's teammate at Detroit's Renaissance HS. Kid is cat-quick with ridiculous range. In 2 exhibition games, he logged 56 minutes, shot 11-21 from beyond the arc, had 8 boards, 4 steals, and 8 assists.
In the Basketball Travelers Classic against Lehigh, he had a game high 27 points while shooting 5-10 on threes, 10-11 from the stripe, with 2 boards and 5 assists. He and Aaron Brooks give us great depth at PG. The 3 point shooting will be unbelievable on this team with the aforementioned guards, Chamberlain Oguchi, and Bryce Taylor. Maarty Leunen is one of the most underrated players in the country. He is a great shooter, and probably our best rebounder. Despite some of the bigger names on the team, I honestly think he is our best overall player. Hairston hasn't realized his potential yet. If he and Ray Schaeffer step up this year, the Ducks will go far. I'm pretty excited about our squad this year. Just wish we had a better coach.

Update on Tajuan Porter-
After a huge game against Cal St. Northridge in which he scored 28 points while going 6-12 from beyond the arc, Porter out-did himself on Sunday against Portland St.
He scored 38 points on 12-14 shooting (10-12 from long range), including a miraculous 60 foot buzzer beater to end the first half. His 10 treys set an Oregon record, and his 38 points set an Oregon record for freshmen. He also had 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. He did all this in just 28 minutes. He's a freaking 5-6 true freshman. This kid is something special.

I will do straight up win/lose, but no *** point stuff.
Arizona blew a 19 point lead... It was sad.

Im in a bad spot this year in College Basketball. It is one of my favorite sports but i've been a Cincy fan since I was younger and with them making all the program changes and getting rid of everyone that ever had to do with Huggins sucks. Now I am a Kansas State fan because Huggins is there and I like the type of players and the type of program he runs. If they would have kept Andy Kennedy which they should have done I would still be a Cincy guy, but they made the change, and so did I. Lets go K-State.

Well I guess ill try to give an explanation for each school thats around me.
Temple-Was never a Chaney fan, but am curious to see how Dunphy rebuilds the program even though im not big on him either.
Villanova- I cant stand Villanova I have a few friends that went there and just hearing them all the time annoys me. Plus im not big on Jay Wright or Mike Nardi at all.
Penn- How doesnt the IVY League have a championship game? I think its so stupid. Penn is usually good but didnt like Dunphy.
Drexel- My older brother went there. I dont dislike Drexel like I do the 3 above. I will root for them. They really fell apart last year after almost stunning Duke in Madison Square Garden.
LaSalle- My little brother goes there now. I will also root for them. Their coach seems like he has been doing an excellent job since hes been there based on recruiting.
But when its all said and done I have to go with Huggins and K-State. Its good that they are getting Bill Walker in December.

I liked Saint Josephs until I was in 7th grade going into 8th when I was invited to a summer basketball camp where you had to sleep over and all that $hit. The dorms didnt have AC in the middle of August. But your right K-State is on the rise hopefully they can get a win at Rutgers tommoorw. All though that is going to be tough. Im actually trying to convince one of my boys to drive up there tommorow. This is the only time where K-State is coming anywhere near Philly.

I like the way my Mizzou Tigers are playing so far this season, but it will certainly be a rebuilding year for Mike Anderson.
Quin Snyder tried his best to destroy the program and actually did a pretty good job, but Anderson still has some horses on the team to make a NIT run this year and hopefully a spot in the dance next year.

(14) Boston Colleges loses to vermont. And then (17)Marquette is down 52-53 to Idaho State. I have no TV or Radio to that game and I'm a little worried about that.

Ohio State WILL Win the Big 10, and maybe win National Championship. There going to be godly this year no doubt.
But watch out for Iowa as a sleeper, I honestly think there better than last year.
