Landry and Nelson have had good seasons so it is far from surprising to not see Tanard make the list.

This list looks pretty solid, Beason and Willis are beasts though... huge numbers

hasn't Leon Hall been burnt like toast early and often this year?
Ross has been great for the G-men, and has an argument for being the best rookie cb. Not sure how he didn't make this list, but a CB on one of the worst D's in the league did.

Jones has Favre. Johnson has Kitna. Argument over.

I don't know where you're getting your numbers from, but they could not be anymore wrong.
Joe Thomas did not give up 5.5 sacks this season. Any and every Browns fan will attest to that.
5.5 sacks? Ridiculous.....

I wanted the Patriots to draft Meriweather and Beason, Posluszny, or Harris, and then it turns out the linebackers become beasts and we're looking at paying big money to a linebacker with the seventh pick this year when we could be paying significantly less otherwise. I'm not complaining too much about the seventh pick, just that the financial risk is significantly greater.

Hall got beat up early in the season because he had to start. 2nd half of the season he stepped it up and was very productive.
He had 27 more total tackles than Ross and 3 more pass deflections, Hall is VERY good in run D. I haven't seen Ross play much but there's a debate for Hall to be made.

Are you sure? He had that 2 game rookie wall, but he's been good overall. Only decent against teams like Minnesota, but overall he's been good.

yes, he has matured very quickly this season and is going to be great alongside jonathan joseph in the years to come.

Yeah, Calvin definitely deserved it over James Jones regarding circumstances. But had Jones actually been able to somewhat keep up his rate that he was at before he blew up in the first Bears game he would have gotten the nod because he was playing greatly. But woulda coulda shoulda.

no, I think it was actually 2. I remember he had only given up 1 going into the Cincinnati game, and Justin Smith got another one off him then.

Is it just me or did Calvin Johnson get way too much hype going into his rookie season or what? Sure he's good, but he's definitely not the next Moss like he was deemed during the draft season. If a guy is gonna be that good you usually can tell right away. Next Braylon Edwards probably, next Randy Moss, no.

I honestly don't know why he got off the hook for the 3 against the Steelers.
Maybe they just think he's the great white hope in Cleveland so they inflate his numbers.
I still remember hearing going into week 7 that he hadn't given up sacks..
Forgetting that James Farrior literally knocked him on his ass for a sack, James Harrison ran around him and got a sack, and He decided to double team a corner on a blitz leaving the outside rusher free.
I can't see how those don't count.

I don't see why he can't be the next Moss. Great size, great speed, great jumping ability, great hands. He's got everything you look for.

27 more tackles could also mean he is getting thrown on more... Anyway, I had no idea he had stepped up. Last I heard was about him getting burned early and then the Bengals sorta fell off the radar.
