damn there is a lot of big ten fans that post in this forum
and i think u all under estimate the sec, the speed on defense would be scary and the offense would be incredible
i wish the SEC could play the Big Ten every year with an all star game that would be the sh!t, to prove each year what confrense is better

The battle is won in the trenches and the Big Ten blows all other conferences away in that department this year.

I think both Ohio State and Michigan could give this team a reasonable game (like stay within 2 td's), and a combined team of Mich/OSU would prolly win.

A DL of Woodley, Branch, Pitcock, and Spencer would be nasty. The LB corps would include Posluszny, Laurinaitis, and Harris. The only weak spot would be the secondary, although Leon Hall is one of the top corners.
The SEC could probably come close to, or have a better defense than the Big 10, but the offense would be too good. Let's get some other teams posted.

The Big 10 would also have King and Jenkins at corner not a weak spot at all imo.
|
Well it wouldn't be 'weak' per say, but compared to other teams it wouldn't be a strong point.
|
Ikegwuono should be the cornerback opposite Hall. One of the main reasons Wisconsin ranks 2nd in the nation against the pass.

This thread is basically "Which conference do you support?"
It's pretty impossible to say who would win in an all-star game between the SEC and Big 10.
Imagine if there was an SEC v. Big 10 all-star game though. It'd easily be one of the biggest games of the year nationwide.
Another thing I haven't seen mentioned is the coaches of the team,s but those are obviously Tressel and Spurrier.

The SEC couldn't stop the Big Ten's passing attack. Troy Smith throwing to Ginn, Manningham and Hardy with protection from Thomas and Long.

Pac 10 is better with Jarrett, Smith, Jackson, Jason Hill and Chris McPhoy. If you think THe SEC has a better defense than the Big Ten you are insane.

SEC has a better Wideout core, this is with out some of the other top wideouts also not on the list.

No love for J Leman at LB anywhere? Granted we were 2-10 but good god, he was dynamite this season. He basically single handedly kept our D in the game against Ohio State.

Ohio St. is already far and away the best team in the nation and u add the likes of Hart, Manningham, Polznusky, Stanton, Henne, Hill, I could go on and on, to make an all-star team, Big 10 easily. BTW, I am also a Michigan fan, I lost a bet.

The Big Ten is so stacked at LB that it is hard to put him in. I can't put him in over Harris, Laurinitis, and Puz.
