Oh, he absolutely will come back. And he will attack an angle to assert that he was correct.

To be fair (which I don't want to be in his case) the 49ers/Roman offense has been stagnant, boring, and predictable in chunks this season. Last night didn't reflect that in any way.

I actually like the 49ers offense. Sure it isn't a wide open passing scheme, but the run looks the 49ers give are really interesting. The pistol is catching on around the league and the diamond formation is tough to stop.

And as we have seen with other teams, when you can establish the run and scheme to get a numbers advantage over the defense then it really opens up what can be done in the passing game.

The big problem with this, and other similar offenses though is what happens when you get behind the down? But that seems to be a concession a lot of offensive coaches are giving these days. There are basically saying we will gain yards on first and second to leave 3rd manageable, and we won't on very few occassions.
