The only school that can rival USC in terms of sending players to the NFL and reloading for another national championship run is Ohio State.

Brady Quinn and the Notre Dame O-Line has good games against defenses with average to good pass rushes. Charlie Weis has his big boys coached pretty well on how to protect the golden boy, but they haven't faced anything like LSU's pass rush and "front heavy" defense. Of course, LeRon Landry holds his own, But the defensive line of LSU brings the pressure. To break it down, Jamarcus Russell needs time and needs to get the ball to the 3 playmakers Doucet, Davis, and Bowe.
LSU 34
Notre Dame 13

We did replace 9 starters on defense, that turned out pretty well for us.

I think Michigan is a great team but I believe 100 percent that USC is loaded with more talent...just like what some of you guys already said, less experienced

yeah what i meant was that michigan was returning talent at the key skill positions and had the best players on the field offensively and defensively (hart and woodley). i know that usc is reeaally talented. but then...that's not very relevant to the sugar bowl.

it will be a close game on the score board simply because Les Miles runs the football most of the time but I dont see any shot of ND winning

Miles hasn't really turned to his rushing offense to win games. LSU did not have a single 500 yard rusher on their team. JaMarcus Russell and his 3 wideouts have emerged to become the stars of the offense and have consistently put up 40+ points against bad secondaries.
The only way it's close is if ND can get the early lead, find the running game they never had, and stave off LSU's passing attack.

Yeah but he uses a bunch of diferent runners and I never said they won games with their rushing, he just commits to it no matter how bad it's doing. It won't be a blowout but LSU will win decisively

Notre Dame can continue the trend in the Sugar.
LSU has a lot more talent than Notre Dame, but ND has Charlie Weis.
The matchup between Brady Quinn and Jamarcus Russell (the first two QBs to be chosen in the 07 Draft?) should be a great one to watch too. Quinn is better, but he will be shut down by LSU's secondary and hit often by their pass rush. Russell should have a field day.
LSU 34, Notre Dame 14
|
ND has Charlie Weis? You mean the guy that hasn't beaten a ranked team in two years at Notre Dame?
The huge amount of time off that teams have before their Bowl Game usually hinders offenses early in the game. That favors LSU, as their defense is already dominant, and Notre Dame probably won't be able to jump out with a quick lead on them.

I think that he deserves a lot of credit, but not the type of credit that people give him.
People have hailed him as the man who has brought Notre Dame back to greatness. What greatness? Like I said, he has lost to every ranked team he has played against.
The credit he should be given is that without him and Quinn, Notre Dame would probably have a losing record.

I think he is going to do something special tonight. He hasn't really done anything shocking or really inventive to catch people off guard like he used to do with the Pats yet. I think he pulls out all the stops tonight in a lot of his seniors last game.

I don't think Notre Dame has the talent level to play with LSU, especially in LSU's back yard.
