Will Troy Brown be back this year
I was wondering with all of the guys the Pats have at receiver will Troy Brown be in the plans for the 2007 season? And if he does come back where will he be on the depth chart?

He'll go to camp with the team, but I can't see him making it. Or maybe he does as the sixth guy. Otherwise, I see him going the Don Davis route and becoming a coach with the team...

If he does make the team a younger WR with more upside at this point (most likely Kelly Washington, Gaffney, or even Caldwell) would get pushed out. I love Troy but the best thing for the team would be for him to hang 'em up.

I hope he does retire. It is a shame that he could not go out with a Yaz type final season. It never seems to work out that way for football players. Troy should take a year or two and enjoy himself then I would love to see him back with the team in any capacity.

I don't know. If he is playing a very reduced role I can't see the 4th being that important. He has played forever, is reverred in New England, and is very classy guy. I would rather see him off as a key contributor , not as a hanger on. I do think he is somewhat banged up too.

Well, we all love Troy to death. He's bled for this organization for so many years. Easily one of my all time favorite athletes. If he wants a spot, it's his. Troy is one of the few guys that had that kind of respect. But, I'm not sure he'll be back as a player. I really hope he's on the coaching staff if he doesn't come back...which I think he will be. Troy seems like a lifer.
