Hopefully going to see Inception tonight, just gotta find out if it's 3D or not at the theatre down the street, otherwise I will go somewhere else. I cant wait! I love Chris Nolan and his movies almost allways end in a "What just happened?" "IDK, but that was amazing" convo. Hopefully this is not the last time JGL(who I love) and Nolan work together *cough*Riddler*cough*

Inception isn't 3D.

Scene cards are awesome. I haven't paid for a movie in a long time.

Inception totally sold out for Sat. & Sunday by Friday evening n in the local mall theaters, I'll have to wait to go to the bowling alley strip mall theater during the wk. when it isnt so crowded, nobody is there during the wk in Morgan Hill.
Warning: My neighbor came back from it & said don't go see it loaded, you have to understand & grasp this film from the opening mindblowing sequence to get it.

that sucks. The theatre near me used to be a real theatre and holds 1,000+ people so it never sells out

so apparently they're getting amy adams to play Janis Joplin in a biopic. I dont see how they can make this work. The reason Jamie Fox worked so well as Ray Charles was b/c they made him look a lot like him and talk like him, and then they had the real Ray Charles dub in the singing which worked flawlessly.
...For Joaquin Phoenix in Walk the Line, he kinda looked like Cash (the sole reason he was cast as the lead role) but is way taller and his voice is a high tenor while Johnny Cash's voice is that extremely low baritone. Him trying to sing that low was just bad. How are they gonna have Amy Adams sing like Janis? Heck, how are they gonna get anyone to sing like Janis? The only person I can think of that could conceivably do it is Melissa Etheridge. /rant.

I'm pretty sure Jaime Foxx sang those tracks

some of the stuff from Ray was Ray Charles dubbed in too. I can't remember if he does all of them, but some of them are quite obviously Ray Charles' voice. I know it's Charles doing the piano overdubs as well. They did the musical recreations in that movie seamlessly.

that they did. I cant stand Foxx but that was a great movie.
I know the guitars (mostly) were over dubbed in Walk the Line but I dont know about the vocals.
I actually think those are the best 2 biopics made recently. Especially for musicians.

It's good, but not worth all the awards. That's just my opinion though. Totally worth seeing.

I missed a lot of the movies it competed against, but when I saw it, I must concur, didn't think it was 'Best Picture' worthy, although it was very good.
But of course, I saw it shoddily, and so tonight will be the first time I'll see in its intended visual quality.

So I watched the Lovely Bones yesterday. Meh. Some good, some bad. It was actually a bit of a mess. Under developed characters, some characters were pointless in general (Susan Surandon), and it just left many questions. I dont even understand how the whole family could like sense the girl in limbo in the first place, Wahlberg making odd accusations from thin air, the whole thing with the under developed goth character who could see ghosts, Susan Surandon's character's existence, missing evidence, pregnant teenagers. lol. Some of this may seem a bit odd if you havent seen it, but I'm sure those who saw it, know what I'm talking about.
Plot holes, galore.
