See where Tom Cruise is going to play the Jack Reacher character in a movie to be released in early 2013. Reason i mention that is i've read all of the Lee Child books and they are phenominal. The Reacher character is 6ft,5in so it might be a bit of a reach for Cruise to play the part, but should be interesting.

The hate of Zombieland a page or two back boggles my mind. How anyone could not like that movie is beyond me.

No one said they hated it. It just isn't as amazing as some of you make it out to be, which it isn't.

I enjoyed it but my ex-roommate who called himself a zombie enthusiast said that was his favorite zombie movie. It just doesn't seem right...

I thought it was a good movie as a comedy, but to be a self proclaimed zombie enthusiasts favorite zombie movie... That's like a horror fanatic saying his favorite slasher film is Scary Movie.

It's zombies. I don't have a problem with the idea of a light-hearted movie being your favorite. I personally don't think Zombieland was that amazing, though. I prefer Shaun of the Dead for comedy (Edgar Wright > all) and love the hell out of the early Romero films. And Dead Alive for camp brilliance.

Ridley Scott is bound to make it 2 and a half hours of boring exposition and throw in Russell Crowe.

...really? Wow. That's shocking.
I really like Ridley Scott. Robin Hood was meh, but Gladiator was awesome and Blade Runner may well be my favorite movie of all time.

Kingdom of Heaven is underrated. I haven't seen the theatrical cut, and Bloom still isn't the greatest person to be playing a hero, but at least the director's cut is a very good, if also very long movie.

I love historical epics about good men stuck in terrible situations, but claw out of it by being manly and doing things the honorable way.

Robin Hood, Body of Lies, American Gangster.....his recent history gives me no hope anymore. I enjoyed Matchstick Men, the directors cut of Kingdom of Heaven, and Black Hawk Down a decent amount, but the mehness of everything between Blade Runner and BHD sullied my love of him.
And Gladiator is nothing special at all.
