How come Suspiria is never on? It is the sexiest horror movie ever.

I might try to watch something as well...not sure what, though. Maybe Rocky 3, since I watched the last two over the last few nights.

Okay, so Black Hawk Down probably isn't the best movie to watch as you're going to bed.

The only movie I'd call perfect is The Man From Earth. Easily my favourite movie of all time.

Billy Madison is funniest the first few times you watch it when you are an adolescent. It's not as funny as an adult, but the funniest parts are still hilarious.

I watched American Pie for the first time in a decade and I got freaked out because all of their voices sound like they're 12 years old.

i thought about in bruges, but i need to rewatch it. i liked it once, but a second time would decide if it was a great movie, or just a good one.

In Bruges is an amazing movie, but I wouldn't consider it perfect. Definitely great though, and one of my favorite movies of the last few years.

Chronicle was great. If a few high school seniors actually got super powers, I could see it playing out like that.

just saw The Artist at an art house theatre. Not sure if I like that or Midnight in Paris better - both very entertaining. I heard The Help was a total chick flick. Sounds overrated.

Just rented Drive and Moneyball. Looking forward to watching both. I wanted to get Blue Valentine but no one wanted to watch it. That, In Bruges, and There Will Be Blood are the three movies I'm dying to see.

Is it a 'chick flick' just because all the main characters are female?

It's not a chick flick, it's just not good.

I just finished the girl with the dragon tattoo and I have to say how much better the original was compared to Fincher's remake. Fincher's wasn't bad, but I was just so much more engrossed within the original and I never got that same feeling with Fincher's. Maybe thats because I knew the story going in but I think it was a pretty useless remake when the original was much better and only a few years old. But I guess whatever makes money is the way these things go. Reaffirms why I shouldn't watch American remakes of great foreign films.

I thought Fincher's version crushed the Swedish version in almost every way. I thought it looked better, was presented better, the score was a thousand times better, the acting was just as good (and in a lot of cases I preferred the new one, even though I was a huge fan of Noomi & co in the foreign version), and I thought the scriptwriters did a far better job of handling the end of the story in the remake then they did in the other one.
The only edge id give to the foreign version is the unraveling of the clues in the middle of the movie. But the new one did a fair enough job on it that it doesnt even come close to balancing the two out imo.
