I am always weary of Spider-Man films. The first is great, two is good, that third is so ****** that it does not require discussion. This background plotline bugs me:
because I love Spider-Man as the flawed hero who watched his uncle die as a result of his own actions. The Lizard working with Peter's father? That's a different storyline, and while I do like that it's clearly focusing on Gwen Stacy, that's his college girl, not what-looks-to-be high school (football tryout part). I just worry they that they'll make Peter Parker out to be some badass, when really he's a flawed individual who lacks more confidence than lead on.
I want to be wrong, but this is the one comic character, outside of the Scarlet Spider, that I was actually obsessed with as a kid.
