You better not. That remake offends me as a Detroit native, and a fan of the masterpiece that is the original.

Because when something gets remade they destroy all copies of the original.

Those guys didn't come to your door? I had to hand over an old VHS version to the Movie Police.

Justice League: War was a massive step back for DC Animated, went in with big expectations because usually their animated films are top notch but was disappointed. They butchered Superman and Wonder Woman, and I wasn't a huge fan of their depiction of Batman either. Don't expect anything close to Doom, Crisis on Two Earths, or Flashpoint Paradox quality. It really sucks because apparently this is the first of a little movie series they're doing, doubt they get any better.

What did you enjoy about Justice League War? I thought that was horrible. It makes the actual comic run look great.

How'd they butcher superman and wonder woman? Or even Batman for that matter? It's based on the new 52 so it's obviously not going to be the exact same old stuff.

I felt like both Superman and WonderWoman were pricks and kind of bullies. The way WW handled the protest situation only re-affirmed the protestors stance. Then they had her play a Borat like foreign idiot when it came to the ice cream scenario. Swinging a sword at the man's face isn't exactly something for the little girl to look up to. Then Supes was some sort of macho he-man, puffing up his chest when anybody looks at WW and seemed way more violent/unreasonable than the Clark I'm used to seeing. Perhaps that's how the new comics are but I hated it.

Wasn't that WW's first interaction with anyone outside the Amazon? That's how i'ds expect anyones first reations to ice cream be. The other stuff you're right though.

I just saw Thor the dark world. Maybe its cause I went in with low expectations but I enjoyed it quite a bit for what it was. Way better than the abomination that was Iron man 3.

Looks like we have our candidate for Vision.

Quote:
"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" has upped its artificial intelligence count by one: Paul Bettany will play The Vision, according to multiple outlets including Deadline.

Bettany is already a Marvel Studios veteran, having voiced Tony Stark's computer system, J.A.R.V.I.S., in all three "Iron Man" films. The casting choice clearly opens up speculation as to a likely connection between J.A.R.V.I.S. and The Vision's on-screen origin. In comic book history, The Vision was the "synthezoid" creation of Ultron, the titular villain of the "Avengers" sequel (played in the film by James Spader).

I had the exact same experience. Just watched Thor 2 the other day, and I quite liked it. Loved the little twist at the end too, really cool turn for the Marvel Universe. Also, the post-credits clip was weeeeeeeeird.

Read Infinity Gauntlet. Then you'll understand what is coming. Probably in Avengers 3.

So, should I rent

Kick Ass 1 & 2

World War Z and Pacific Rim

A bunch of DC animated movies I haven't seen yet

Both versions of Once a thief

Arthur Christmas and Wreck it Ralph

Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie and series. (I've been watching a lot of Star Wars: The old republic clips on youtube lately. Damn you Origin for existing.)

Generic Milla Jovovich action movies.

I have a 2 dvd at a time plan. I have seen precisely none of these movies, although I read World War Z.

I'm really up in the air what I should go with next.

I'd start off with Kick Ass. Then some DC movies... then WWZ and PacRim

World War Z the movie and the book... have nothing to do with each other besides the zombies. So reading it didn't prepare you for anything.
I thought it was worth the watch though

I really did not like Desolation of Smaug at all. Its ridiculous that this is a trilogy. The first hour and a half was awful. Thank the lord though that there was still a whole hour and ******* ten more minutes to go. I mean at least that stuff was decent I guess. Always liked The Hobbit better than the LOTR books and I'm not thrilled that they essentially just tried to film LOTR redux. I think they got the tone wrong. I am sure it looked good in 3D Imax but am glad I didn't waste my money.

I havent seen either, and probably wont. I had enough of that franchise with return of the king's eighteen million endings.
