I'm bored...so, I'm just watching these free movie channels I have for the time being. I just finished watching the Departed, for I'd say the 10th time in the last two weeks. It never gets old...haha. Now, I'm about to watch The Professional. Lots of good movies are on tonight.

watched American Gangster this weekend, enjoyed it a lot but not overwhelmingly great or anything.
Also caught LA Confidential for about the 15th time on Starz... easily one of my top 10 of all time even though the Kim Basinger plotline is totally unnecessary

Alright I only want to get one of the new release DVD's tomorrow, just because I need to save cash. So it's between Before the Devil Knows Your Dead and Juno. Which one do you guys recommend?

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead without a doubt.
There will be more copies of Juno, and it'll be more readily available.
Im getting BtDKYD and Lars and The Real Girl.

I didn't know Lars was coming out, that's another one I'm interested in, Gosling is awesome. Too many recent releases I still need to get.

Lars was a damn good movie but I would go with Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. Really for me it woud come down to special features. I love listening to commenatries so that would play a big part.

Agree with that completely. The commentaries, documentaries, deleted scenes and for comedies, the outakes, is really what makes the DVD worth buying. Unless I really love the movie. I mean my copy of the Departed has nill extras on it, but I could careless because the movie is so danm good.

Yeah, so I did end up getting BTDKYD, which I just finished it. And it did not disappoint. Great, great movie. Seymour Hoffman was especially good. Anyone know why it wasn't a bigger deal when it was released? I mean it's a Sidney Lumet film with some great actors. Either way, just another film that adds to the ridiculous year of movies for 2007.

It was a pretty big deal as a smaller release. It did some crazy per theatre average numbers and was extremly well reviewed. I think because Lumet's past few films have been smaller releases and haven't really lived up to the Lumet name this film was released smaller. I doubt it would have done well given a huge release anyways.

We Own the Night.
I was not a fan of 'Michael Clayton'.
