Perhaps a balence needs to be found between the two but the last few Brosnan films were just ridiculous. The new style definitely makes for better films albeit if some of the tradition qualities of Bond movies are lost. Still I think it is a change for the better overall.

I think also though, it shows that Bond is not going to be able to beat everyone without breaking a sweat. He still shows suave with women and tact with others. At the end you started to see how his personality was changing and became more of the Bond in the older movies.

Yeah but he was really bland and not the wise ass that I feel in love with as a Kid, that and the plot tried to out twist 24.
As for the Brosnan Bonds I really didn't like those at all so Craig's bond might be an upgrade but that's like saying Timothy Dalton was a better bond than the guy from her majesty's secret service.

Personally i wasnt a big Casino Royale fan it felt like a generic action movie rather than a Bond movie, Daniel Craig is just too bland for my taste Bond is supposed to be charming and funny...having said that im looking forward to Quantam

Guys i think were forgetting that Casino Royal was almost like a prequel. It was a movie about 007 becoming the James Bond we all know and love. Through Casino Royal he started as just another killer, and then fell in love with the one girl in the Bond history that had all of his heart, and then she ended up not being what he thought she was, all of this was set up to show you how Bond became the way he is, so of course he isnt going to be like what you remeber, thats the point. This is 007 before he became Bond, James Bond.

Yeah, but he doesn't have the personality, I'd imagine Bond was the same smooth smartass before becoming 007, it just seems so natural that I don't like the idea of him developing that personality.

Well he certainly seemed a smartass to me, almost any scene with Vesper before they fell in love, crashing the car at the beach club, winning Dimitriauses car in the poker game, breaking into M's house and telling her he found out what M really stood for. But to each his own i suppose.

Daniel Craig is a babe.
That being said. The one brosnan bond movie i liked the most was tomorrow never dies... but, i hated the acting in it... it got too cheesy like george clooney batman and robin.

You only liked it because of the azn! I personally was a big fan of Goldeneye. It is a guilty pleasure of mine.
In other news, all of you ******* need to go see Zack and Miri Make a Porno. If this does some good business maybe his horror movie, Red State, will get some financing.

It made 10.7 mill. All of his films since Dogma open to around that. That number is not bad at all but I would just like it to be better so I get to see Red State. The Weinsteins are not going to finance it so he is currently shopping the project around a another solid week at the Box Office will go a long way to getting it made.

Anyone interested should head over to the fantasy section and sign up for the movie draft.

Gonna check out Zach and Miri tonight pretty pumped to see it, i love the Rogen crew and Elizabeth Banks i found to be especially hot/funny and i also love Kevin Smith movies so it seems like the perfect pairing. Role Models which originally looked ok, now looks hilarious and i cant wait to see it, from the early buzz it sounds like it could be the funniest movie of the year.

I was sort of suprised when I looked at the review for Role Models as for the most part they are glowing. I look forward to seeing it as well and even if the reviews are bad I was going anyways because I think Paul Rudd is the funniest actor around.

Speaking of Paul Rudd, I just bought the David Wain movie The Ten. I really, really thought it was funny. Also, the commentary with his parents was just great on the DVD. A bunch of other people just thought it was decent and a few said it didn't even make them laugh. Anyone else see this film?

I heard such mixed reviews on it that it was always at the bottom of the new movies I wanted to watch list. I have been thinking for a few months now that I really need to give it a watch.

I thought it could be a good, I'm a fan of Wet Hot American Summer. I watched about half of them without laughing much if at all. Never finished it up, just wasn't that good to me.
