Speaking of Wes Anderson though, I watched Rushmore today because it had been a while. Also, I bought The Fountain on Blu-Ray which made the visuals even more epic and awesome.

Rushmore is a great and highly underrated film. Easily one of my favorite Jason Schwartzman movies. Awesome soundtrack as well.

I saw Zack and Miri today, I love that **** so much of the movie was funny. Espically the random things like "Black" Friday. And the double dutch something....ahah it was a great movie. except for the random romatic crap that would make the funny parts seem awkward with the romatic ****. But still great movie also the camera man getting frosted like a cake was hilarious.

OMG, seriously just saw that movie on one of my movie channels last week, and the whole time i wanted to laugh at the funny parts but was too sketched out by the way everyone looked. I was even trying to describe it to a friend the other night because of how odd it was.

Well, what a bad movie. And on top of being terrible, whenever they said they were in Haiti and it Bolivia, they were in Panama, how lame.

Honestly, my expectations for the next Bond film are pretty low. I think it will end up being just a pure action film with little quality dialogue.

The good thing about the next Bond film is it has an excellent director in Marc Forster. In fact he is the only very credible non action actor I can remember the series having in a while. The bad thing about the next Bond film is Marc Forster has no ******* clue what he is doing when it comes to action. I think that may end up hurting the film. I also do not really trust one half of the writting team, Neal Purvis, at all. Besides Casino Royale everything else he has written has been ****.

Well from speaking to a friend whos seen it, youve hit it right on the head. Forster, im undecided about how great of a director he is, however your point about it hurting the movie sounds right as my buddy said the action sequences were worse then Batman Begins and the last two Bourne movies ( in terms of not being able to tell whats happening due to the shaky camera). He also said the story wasnt even present, even when compared to other Bond movies. I was pumped to see this movie, and im hoping he over exaggerated soome what, but it looks like from most reviews thus far that its either you love the balls to the wall action or hate it for not being anything like Casino Royale.

Seriously, the same thing happened with Goldeneye. Everyone was excited with a new bond in Pierce Brosnan and a well put together movie. People were already claiming Pierce Brosnan on-par or even better than Connery. Well, everyone remember the next Bond film after Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies?

I dont think Tomorrow never dies was terrible, it just wasnt golden eye ( Its been awhile since ive seen TND). I think this is the same case, QOS just isnt going to be Royale. Ive been pumped to see this movie but ill go in with low expectations and hopefully come out pleased. Sometimes i enjoy a guilty pleasure action movie. Craigs performance is said to be terrific again, so hopefully this will be at least decent and the third one can bring it back to form. Good point tho.

I think this is a different situation. With Casino Royale-Quantom of Solace all the major behind the scenes pieces remain in place except for a new director who happens to have a good amount of talent. With Goldeneye-Tomorow Never Dies Martin Campbell was replaced by a director who's greatest film is Turner and Hooch. They also only brought back one of the writer's who has done absolutly nothing of significance since. There were no talented people making Tomorow Never Dies. I think there are some very talented people making Quantom of Solace, I just have a feeling and early reviews seem to agree that Marc Forster is in way over his head. I really think the two situations are nothing alike besides all of the films being Bond movies.

It seems to have gotten somewhat favorable reviews with the general consensus being that Craig carries this movie and that it is a lot more gritty action then CR. I don't know what you all were expecting but I figured this movie was just going to be an all out war based on what happened to James in the last film. I think future films will tend to go back to what we saw in CR or other Bonds but this movie just looks like James is out to get revenge at whatever cost and is completely pissed off. That is all that I am expecting from this film.

I think Forster wrote this one too, and it was so terrible. If that guy makes the next one too I'm going to be so pissed. I went to the 12:00 am movie, the first one in the country and I'm so angry for having done that. What a bad movie.
