Totally agreed. There wasnt a single part of that movie that was slow or unimportant.

We're talking about The Dark Knight, not Spider-Man 3. No need to confuse the movies.

I am watching The Fountain on Blu-Ray. As if the visuals were amazing enough before... I think this movie doesn't get enough credit but I guess I am also biased since Aronofsky is my favorite modern director. I am really excited about The Fighter and The Wrestler.

It could be sweet and I am looking forward to it but the original RoboCop was awesome and I am not a fan of remakes.

I was shocked to find out Aronofsky was willing to take the easy way out and settle for a remake

Me too but given his previous work, I am curious to see how much change he makes. Let's all be honest, that original RoboCop was amazing. My guess it that maybe he makes it more realistic or more stylized.

Sam Mendes wants to get into the comic book movie craze with a Preacher movie...but only if he can get a good script. Could be sweet

He's already working on Revolutionary Road and Middlemarch.

I just watched Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street the other day and I was very pleased. I thought it was gonna be very weird with Tim Burton has the Director but It was very good. Johnny Depp has a good singing voice. I recommend seeing it, very good and entertaining.

Alright so i just finished the new Bond movie and here are my thoughts on it. First off, A very solid follow up to Casino Royale. Is it as good? No but not for the reasons you think. This movie isnt Casino Royale, because its not intended to be. I think alot of the negative reviews were based around this fact and its unfair because this is a good movie. Craig once again shines, steals every scene hes in whether its a sly remark, or a swift move to put a baddie down. The new direction of relentless action works well, and this is really the theme of the movie here, Bond is now a man seeking anwsers at all costs because its personal this time, nothing is going to stand in his way. Again, its unfair to compare this to Casino Royale because were seeing a different type of evolution of Bond which the series is attempting to recreate, or to give us as the audience the reasons why bond is the man he is.
The action sequences are great despite the fact i had said earlier of hearing the shots being too shaky..... there not and there are some truly great sequences here. There are a few times during a couple of them the director makes a couple attempts to put some symbolism in these scenes and i felt that it didnt really work without giving anything away ( you'll know exactly what im talking about when you see it). The Bond girl this time around actually plays an important role not to the story but to Bond ( again no spoilers), something i thought this movie would have trouble establishing considering the last one. Is it perfect no. Is it Casino, no but its not supposed to be. This was another successful attempt at establishing who Bond really is, and a very enjoyable action movie. If you take it for what it is, youll walk out happy.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman is the frontrunner to play the Penguin in the next Batman movie but he doesn't really want to do it. He says he's not the best man for the job.

I just saw Role Models last night, and it was funny as hell. The whole movie theater was constantly laughing, not just the teenagers like myself, but the older crowd as well. I reccomend it.

Yeah but he and The Riddler are probably the only two moderately realistic villians left.

Bane! the storyline without the venom steroid injection, and Talia Gouhl. The two are connected in the comics and would make the most sense. Personally, id like them to continue with what was originally planned and just re cast the joker but i dont think that will happen.

The problem with the Penguin is that he is a bit too cartoonish.
What makes these new Batman movies great is the dark theme. It's closer to psychological thriller then a true comic movie.

You can make Penguin very un-cartoonish as long as you stay away from all the umbrella weapons

Theyd go in the story line area of him taking over the mob, and only being nicknamed the Penguin as leader of the mob. Makes sense in terms of the story and i love the casting idea there.

RottenTomatoes seems to rate Role Models higher.
I haven't always agreed with their rating, but it's usually pretty good indication.
