Martin Starr is awesome. He seems to be hilarious in every role.

Im going to see Adventureland on Tuesday...pretty excited for it...RYAN REYNOLDS!
Also, I watched The Strangers and The Unborn tonight. The Unborn was ****, which I expected. It is a Michael Bay movie. It wasnt even remotely scary.
The Strangers on the other hand scared the living **** out of me. I did some research before, found out its based on true stuff that happened. When I was watching it, I just kept freaking out I was screaming at my TV. LOOK *****! HES RIGHT THERE! HES IN THE ROOM BEHIND YOU!
..she didnt look...:(

I'll say this, The Pacifier made $115 million while in the theaters; $30 million opening weekend. That should tell you the quality of modern movie goers.

Watched Spy Game last night. That's a solid movie. Its not amazing but is definitely quite entertaining. Its got a Bourne-type feel to it. Brad Pitt and Robert Redford both did a very good job. Another good Tony Scott movie.

The Strangers is actually a lot more fiction than truth. It was okay, but cliche as hell. My easily scared friends were mad because, I'm that guy that calls everything out before it happens and laugh at everything instead of cower in fear.
Yesterday I watched the Orphanage for the first time. Now, that is a good movie. I'd certainly recommend it.

Haha..I went to The Strangers with a buddy of mine last summer. It was a 1:30PM show, and when we got out it was still light out thank God (yes I'm 21). Later that night, I was home alone with my puppy around 1AM.
I kept hearing "ding dong" thinking it was my doorbell. I went upstairs, checked, no one there...DID THAT 3 TIMES... Actually getting freaked out, I F'n realized my text message alert was a door bell sound. Duhhhh.

I love Ryan Reynolds, but I'm not sure you'll like him as much as you think in this movie... Not because of his acting, but I'll leave it at that.

I havent watched it, I bought it for my dad who always watched the cartoon back in the day and he hated it. Said it was almost unwatchable and too much was going on. That could be the typical old timer reaction, though. haha.
He also didnt like the Dark Knight...he did up until the end but, he said the ending ruined the movie for him because, super heroes shouldnt be wrongfully hunted and are not criminals. He's of the old school and only wants to see the happy ending, you see. :)

Yeah, cuz that never happens in the comics. I'm guessing he didn't like or see Mask of the Phantasm.

He didnt actually read the comics...he watched the movies that always end with the good guy winning and everything being tied up in a nice little bow. Hero ends up saving/getting the girl and saving the world. A big Superman fan. He's also a big action guy...seriously, he idolizes Arnold, Stallone, Van Dam, Segal, Lundgren, etc. These guys never lose and that's the way he likes it. I try to get him to expand his mind on the whole thing but, any time the hero dies or loses in a way, it ends up ruining the movie for him. And being that hollywood goes this direction a lot now, he's not as big a fan of movies as he used to be. It is funny though, when you think about it, running down my list of dvds, the hero dies or his life is left in question in a great deal of my movies. I would list them but, that would be a big spoiler post...So, i'd rather not.

I think that tells you more about how children like terrible movies. The modern movie goers aren't much better though.

I liked Planet Terror more. Though, as a gearhead, I love Vanishing Point. So, it was a a close second.

The ending of The Dark Knight kind of angered me too. I wanted one of those damn boats to explode.
