Funny you mentioned this the other day. I'm working on a Mass Effect movie trailer. lol. I'm not using the actual game but, a PC game, The Movies, to make it. haha. It should be interesting. I'll post it up when I'm done. Havent really gotten all that far yet. I just made some costumes and characters...Shepard, Ashley, Kaidan, Joker, and Captain Anderson. My resources are limited but, I'm hoping I can make something decent.

I also got a bunch of Dark Knight mods...so, I plan on making a trailer involving those characters some time down the line.

To give an example, here are some screen caps.

Problem I have right now, is that Two Face is so detailed, that he keeps crashing my game. lol.

His role in Freaks and Geeks was decent, albeit indifferent, while his role in Undeclared was much better. You could actually see his comedy coming out as he showed glimpses of possessing some form of decent comedy. 40 Year Old Virgin has been far and way his best role as he was comic relief where he had many laugh out loud moments where he shined. Knocked Up was, for the most part, intolerable where the best comedic bits were had by Jonah Hill (who is very underrated) and Paul Rudd. Superbad again was made decent by comedic relief but failed to get me to laugh enough to make it recommended. Pineapple Express was the epitome of a movie that I can only cringe through. Humor that solely revolves around wacky circumstances and drug humor can only go so far. Zach and Miri failed to live up to expectations as, again, Kevin Smith disappointed and the sole highlights come from Jay from Jay and Silent Bob fame. I won't comment on Observe and Report since it looked horrendous. Funny People was good, far from great, but watchable mostly based on Adam Sandler's continued emergence as a comedic and dramatic actor.

Needless to say, Seth Rogen showed a good deal of promise but it was ruined as he was thrust into starring roles which is the same fate shared with many of his stand-up comic brethren.
We have the exact opposite taste in comedies... I think. I love dark comedies. Rogen pisses me off, because when he's bad, he's unwatchable, but when he's good (40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad, Freeks and Geeks) he's completely adequate. I hated him in Step Brothers. He wasn't funny, but that one scene he's in is completely forced just to have another big name comedian. Talking about tasting a fart? It was just so unnecessary to stick him in there. A scene that should have no bearing on the movie, is a scene that sticks out, because of how terribly bad it was. Watching a movie try to be funny is probably the worst thing you can get out of a comedy.

Since I thought the trailer to Observe and Report looked good, along with the polarizing comments I've heard from people (either hated it or loved it), I still have fairly high expectations... even if half the people that saw said it was terrible. I also thought Rogen was funny in it.

Knocked Up was one of the worst comedies I've ever seen to get any kind of mass appeal. Completely agree. That girl who stars in it is two things: 1. Not hot and 2. Not funny. Rogen gives the most unfunny and lazy performance of his career. Simply put: A *** movie. I couldn't even finish it the first time I saw it. The premise was... look how this fat, ugly, unattractive guy got this not-so-hot girl pregnant. That is called a movie doomed for disaster since you have the same running joke throughout the course of the movie.

I still haven't seen all of Superbad, but it looked like it could have some potential to be a good movie, and I did like Rogen and the other cop the most. More than McLovin, but maybe I didn't see his better scenes.

40 Year Old Virgin is one of my favorite comedies. I don't even like Steve Carrell, but Mooj is probably one of the greatest characters ever written, and for that alone, 40 Year Old Virgin should never be forgotten. Rudd and Rogen also supply one of the best bits of comedy in any movie you're ever going to see. Probably his best role / movie.

Bruno is the kind of comedy I'll probably love. If it's anything close to that masterpiece, Borat, then I'll be happy.

I only have one comedy rated higher than it (Dumb and Dumber). When I have a straight forward comedy... all I want is constant laughter. Borat had me laughing in just about every scene. It never gets old. I also think Sacha Baron Cohen, not only creates, but portrays one of the greatest characters in film history. It's a great comedic performance. I usually don't give two shits about story, which is why I'm constantly disappointed in recent comedies where they try to wrap up the story and make everything all sweet and ****.

Top 5 Comedies of the Decade:

1. Borat
2. Meet the Parents
3. 40 Year Old Virgin
4. Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang
5. Super Troopers

I also liked Wedding Crashers. Hard for me to leave that off.

Just finished Running Scared, and after not seeing it for about a year or two, I have really come to appreciate it much more, especially more than just a typical nonstop action flick. It has got to be hands down my favorite action I've ever seen. The unrelenting pace, the darkness Wayne Kramer captures is truly like nothing I've ever seen. It also includes to sickest pedophiles I've ever seen since they look so "normal" at first. Just one great, original character after another. So many great themes explored in the movie, and I loved the scene where Oleg is locked in the bathroom and the pedophiles are outside the bathroom, stalking Oleg, and we see these demonic shadows on the outside. Paul Walker is excellent. Vera Farmiga is amazing. This is honestly one of the better movies of recent years. Just loved this movie. Has a few minor flaws, but the energy and life of the movie has more than makes up for the occasional corny dialogue or cliche and poor acting moment. Thankfully they few and far in between. If you haven't seen it, you should.

Was it or was it not released in the United States of Amurrica in 2009? And the USA is the only country that counts. So. There.

Saw the Goods with Jeremy Piven last night. Funny moments but I wouldn't watch it again.

Yes, The Goods is good for a good laugh, but it wasn't great. I would say wait till it comes out and rent it.

So who is going to see Inglorious Basterds? I really want to go to the movies on labor day, but can't decide if I want to see that, Extract, or District 9.

The Informers was terrible. Absolutely terrible. It lost all of the edge and satire that made the novel so wonderful. The only saving grace for the film was the fact that Amber Heard wears clothes for only one scene and she looks absolutely fantastic naked. Other then that, the movie was a terrible adaption.

It's long regardless, I'm sure. But I liked it. Good not great but, def. a good movie, imo. And Jackie Earle Haley is fantastic. Plus, I've always been a big fan of Crudup and Wilson. They were both good as well. As was Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I need to buy it as soon as I get a chance.

Malin Ackerman as a brunnette, though. Meh. She has the weirdest shaped face and the hair wasnt doing her any favors there.
