I have to disagree with you on the analysis of D Hall, he is an elite corner, and in man coverage he's going to be very impressive...problem last night is he was so geared up due to all the talk between him and 85 before the game that he wanted to make something happen and he got shown up. The other plays it seemed to me that Hall was in a zone and stuck to his assignment. Obviously the first catch that Johnson had Hall had fallen down, otherwise that's going to be contested (also think that psychologically that took Hall out of the game because he was trying to make up for that all night)

Hall's ability is elite, his play last night wasn't. Yes, Champ is better, but Hall was playing off all night, guess that was just a test to see how they liked that, obviously it doesn't work, gives the WR too much time to work something out on a double move. Oh and on that double CJ didn't even hard sell it, it was Carson that busted Hall on that.

yeah i saw a replay and just as cj gave the little juke, carson pumped and i think thats what got hall messed up on that play. cj has schooled champ before too. hopefully one day hall will be on champ's level but as of now, no one in the league is.

DeAngelo Hall just needs to play with more discipline. Not to be conservative or anything, but harness his abilities and use them in a more controlled fashion.

harrington definitely played uber sexy last night. hopefully his confidence soared and that game will reflect this season and ideally many seasons in the future.

jennings has come a long way. the first play he made in the nfl last preseason was a flat route and he got tackled and ran the wrong way, opposite the huddle. he reminded me of a poor, poor man's steve smith based on his size. at least he didnt muff a given catch eh? haha i also loved the japanese guy trying his hardest out there. who do you guys think will be the wrs chosen for the final cut? horn, roddy, jenkins, robinson, jennings, and ?

Kinoshita would not be a surprise...

well as an asian myself, i would be proud if he makes the team but hes small and imo not as speedy as the nfl demands. but after looking at the roster its pretty much anyone's game for that last spot.

D-Hall being better in man than zone is IMO a myth. He constantly gets beat in man, especially by good route runners. In zone he uses his playmaking closing speed to make big plays, and read the QBs eyes. He still gets beat in zone, but I have never seen anything but potential in his man game. His speed seems to be so much more impressive when he thinks he has a chance at a big play.

well i guess i have to disagree with you there, whether or not carson threw a pump fake, chad sold the slant route...if carson was throwing a pump fake and their wasnt a hard sell on a slant Hall would have nothing to bite on...CJ's move was quick and fluid, and would of beat alot of people so its not even really a knock against him, my point is that his coverage was man to man, now if your playing cover 2, or man to man with safety help over top you have the advantage of jumping short routes, maybe he just went for the big play being that it was preseason, not sure...

but on that slant and go, it was very similiar to last yr when CJ scored on that 8 yd td pass vs you guys, he didnt have a big game, but he caught that screen pass and sold a hard fake to the outside and slid inside, his change of direction makes him tough to cover 1 on 1
